No one here has looked at European sales figures for Rhytmn-based games, have they?
Singstar Series - 5,500,000 Units Sold (5 Titles, PS2)
Guitar Hero Series - 2,410,000 Units Sold (GH 1, GH2 on 360, GH3 on all systems)
Thats quite a decent fanbase, no? Rock Band WILL be huge in Europe...Even with the ungodly price. Microsoft/EA could easily just package the game + Microphone for an Anti-Singstar game with DLC for about 35-40 Pounds and be at the same price of SingStar for PS3, and have a much better game.
And just for FYI: Singstar, atleast per play.co.uk states that downloads for Singstar are 0.99 pounds each ($2 USD), the same D*** price as DLC for Rock Band (actually, Rock Band is cheaper for the song packs), and Rock Band comes with twice the songs of Singstar. MS really better get on the ball about this one, and put out Rock Band with the Mic for under 40 Pounds, and it'd probably kill the heck out of SingStar!
