because it is getting worse, not even Need for Speed for switch?
60m will be the upper limit for Switch sales if 3rd parties keep on passing by
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Really, the upper limit is below 3DS sales? |
Of course. The 3DS sold millions with all its 3rd party games.

those three are likely going to sell well over 10 million units..... and will release on PS4/xbone/pc
no switch announcements...... does this bold well for its future? I think not.... |
The Wii won it's generation without anything like those games. They're not needed.

ok ok, make it 70m
Switch will sell its millions too, but without basic support, it will not even touch Wii/DS levels

But the Switch will be getting the following games:
- Hollow Knight: a beautiful handdrawn 2D Metroidvania game. PC version scored 86% on metacritic.
- Steamworld Dig 2: 2.5D Metroidvania game that is a sequel to the critically acclaimed Steamworld Dig.
- Owlboy: 2D adventure games with beautiful pixel art and heavily inspired by Nintendo classics like Metroid, Zelda, Kirby and Kid Icarus. PC version scored 88% on metacritic.
- Sonic Mania: 2D platformer with some of the best pixel art I've ever seen. Looks like it will be the first great Sonic game in ages.
Switch will be just fine. :) There's more to gaming than AAA games.
Did you also notice how all these games drew inspiration from Nintendo classics and with the exception of Sonic Mania aren't announced yet on the other two consoles?
Do people even buy 3rd parties for Nintendo consoles? Call of Duty, GTA and other big third parties attract Playstation and Xbox users anyway. Not too mention blockbuster 3rd party games would look way better on the PS4 and Xbox One so I don't see anyone picking up a switch just to play those games.
As expected, more than two thirds of people here think NS will sell well above 30M. The poll could have been created in a more neutral way. I'm also pessimistic. I believe NS's lifetime sales will be between 20M and 25M. But that's just me.
Regarding the OP, it's normal that the Nintendo machine doesn't get some major 3rd party titles. Nothing new. What makes me pessimistic about NS is that it doesn't have a (or several) super-original title driving console's sales, like the Wii had Wii Sports / Play / Fit. 1-2-Switch is selling poorly and the other titles are more of the same from previous generations. Without a casual market to cater to and the hardcore base to be sticked with PlayStation and Xbox, NS is doomed to have WiiU's fate.
Prediction made in 14/01/2014 for 31/12/2020: PS4: 100M XOne: 70M WiiU: 25M
Prediction made in 01/04/2016 for 31/12/2020: PS4: 100M XOne: 50M WiiU: 18M
Prediction made in 15/04/2017 for 31/12/2020: PS4: 90M XOne: 40M WiiU: 15M Switch: 20M
Prediction made in 24/03/2018 for 31/12/2020: PS4: 110M XOne: 50M WiiU: 14M Switch: 65M

Yes, just not AAA mainstream titles.
Small-medium sized indie, Japanese & kid/family titles have historically done pretty well on Nintendo platforms.
