Forums - Sales - Monster hunter and Crisis Core pushed PSP to outsell Wii

It came out of no where if you ask me, but congrats to the PSP, it was a real good week for gaming for them, and I personally love Crisis Core.  The popularity of Monster Hunter does make me wonder what all the fuss is all about, seems like it could be a good series, and I might just pick up one of those games to see if I want it on Wii when it releases.  It seems PSP is doing much better this year then it did in the past hopefully it can keep things going.

Monster Hunter is an awesome game. When it comes out for the Wii, it's a must buy.

I may actually get a Wii for this game.

If you have the PSP, you should buy Monster Hunter Freedom 2. It's awesome.

I never really seen what Monster Hunter was all about but now the games are a bit older I can get on on the cheap and see how it is.

PSP sales will go back down soon, and if DS sales stay low they may need a price drop in Japan.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

I've been thinking DS needed a price drop for a while, 100 dollars would be a great price, it's like when they had GBA they dropped the prices a lot and they had no one to compete with, now they DO and seem to keep their price the same kinda seems like they're mocking the PSP...

Why would you need to drop the price when you're still easily in the lead WW in a week where the PSP had it's biggest launches of the year and you didn't release anything of significance?

I agree with what you're saying but just thinking on how they dropped the price a few times with all the past handhelds, DS just seems to stick at 129.99, sometimes it just seems as if Nintendo wants to show that they don't need to drop the price to compete, maybe trying to get Sony out of the handheld business by showing dominance.

There is no bravado, it's about making the most profit possible. Same thing every other company is trying to do.

Well you gotta think from Sony's POV it's gotta suck that they keep trying, kept lowering their price and still can't beat the monster that is DS. I personally think it would just get a little tiresome to fight it, maybe even a bit frustrating.

Congrats for the PSP :D Dont even listen to the party-killers , the PSP did excelently , and for a handheld that is considered mostly a PMP the sales are absolutly amazing ;)
