Yep GTA5 never got that memo either. I also believe MK8 and Minecraft are Gonna skip that class Too!

Mario Kart 8 is launching at 28. April, so effect will be carried away in May also. Also we dont know how stock situation will be in May, but it seems that currently is still limited stock.

We know that MK8 is huge game and most popular Wii U game, and lotsa people actually didn't had Wii U because very limited instal base of Wii U, so for all people who didnt had Wii U this is brand new great game. Zelda BotW and MK8D will be for some people strong reason to buy now Switch, MK8D will be prette strong. I cant wait to see Japan numbers for that week.

Its not so simple, some people like game but they didnt wanted do buy Wii U that was faile, while Switch looking now much more attractive than Wii U ever did and has hole life in front, or for some people is game changer fact that they can play MK8 in full handheld mode or in handheld local multiplayer mode.

For instance I like TLoU and Uncharted, but I didnt want to buy PS3, but remasters of those games is what pushed me to buy PS4.

Its hard to talk about boost of Switch sales when they are still limited stocks in US and Japan, but in any case definatly will have good effect. Like I wrote, for all people who didnt had Wii U, this is brand new and offcourse great, strong game, and Nintendo will definatly push this game hard.

Probably, but I doubt it will be an instant hit since it's a port. It will have good legs though.
Same goes for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Although first month sales will probably be decent, they won't be very good. However, it will keep on selling quite a lot every week, just like GTA5 for PS4.

So these two games will not sell that much in the first few months. (But since they're both very popular, sales will be good enough to carry the Switch I guess.)
