Yes.
It's very unlikely that it will be as popular as Splatoon, but 3 million is certainly possible. It will depend on the Switch sales, but right now my prediction is 2.5 million.

Maybe if it was a 3rd party Sega game with a metascore of 50℅. People seem to forget that Nintendo never failed with a new IP and they are trying their best to make this IP as succesful as possible. There's no reason to create a new IP and bury it after one game.
Wouldnt bet against your predictions lol.
I think it will be a massive hit in Japan, how it works out in the rest of the world I dont know.. but it wouldnt bet against 3+ millions.
well i thought splatoon would flop, and look at how that turned out. so i guess this could sell that much.
5M low end.

Yeah, try telling that to Code Name: STEAM. |
They weren't really trying with that game, announcing it behind closed doors and all. If Pikmin can sell a million copies on poorly selling consoles then I think the more appealing ARMS should be able to get into the multi-millions.
No, I mean 1 million would be amazing.
Pokken is around a million and SF5 is like just over one million.
It's definitely possible, though not a sure thing to happen just because Splatoon blasted expectations.
Though, LT, I do think 3 mil can be done.
Dance my pretties!

I would gladly tell you a huge no, but then I remember the strange case of Splatoon and, well, I don't know anymore.
I don't think it's going to perform badly like some people are arguing here, but something between 1.25 and 2 million sounds acceptable.
My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.
