If you already have a PS3 there are only three reasons to buy a 360 (Halo3, MassEffects, Bioshock)
(To be fair, if you already have a 360 there are only a couple of reasons to buy a PS3: When your 360 crapped out, BluRay and (Uncharted, MGS4, GT ...)

For gaming both systems are too similar and most great games are multiplatform. So one is enough.

IF you have a Wii the situation may be different. If you do not need BluRay and want to play Halo buy a 360, if you have a HD TV and want GT or MGS4 buy a PS3.

Honestly leo.  Did I say at any point that the PS3 or Wii were trash?  Did I even imply it?  Did I post this in the Sony forums to try to rub it in Sony fans faces?  All this post is is my opinion why a 360 is an excellent gaming purchase for anyone, which I clearly stated at the outset.  Is there any particular reason why you are not ok with that?


Were in that post have I stated that you said anything of the sort.

I would only consider a 360 if it was free (at the moment) or RRoD free! (in the future)

No way lol.  I love gaming this generation too much.  I can't afford the kind of cash I need in my country to maintain PC gaming, and in anycase I love consoles.

I'm going to own all three consoles and I'm going to love it.

Good read, I'm not sure that I would have even mentioned the PS3 at all, the 360's got enough selling points and strengths I'd say.

Shame on all the PS3 fans bashing his post :P It says why you SHOULD want a 360, and well I think he came up with some good reasons ;P

Anyway, from my perspective, the reason to own a 360 right now is the RPG support it looks to be getting. With great new RPGs coming out one after another, it's looking to be the RPG console to own atm.


My comment is mainly for "KZ2 is much better than GoW!" type of comments. If you have a valid argument for the thread (which x game is better than y game generally isn't) please feel free to post it.

Also, this is a thread about the 360 and why you should want it. It's is not a thread about why the PS3 or Wii is better and it is not a thread about why the PS3 or Wii has the best exclusives. Feel free to talk about why whatever game on the 360 is good or bad or why some multiplatform game mentioned is better for one system, but there is no need to bring the PS3 or Wii and talk about how they're actually better. As I said, if you want to discuss that make a why you should want a PS3 or Wii thread.

I'm simply saying this because people get awfully touchy when you start comparing consoles and they feel the need to tak it personally and can make a good thread go bad quickly. I don't need these head aches today so I am simply nipping this in the bud.

@Onna,

Blue Dragon is above average (not amazing though), ES seems to be awesome (but a PS3 version is on the way) so i'm ok with them not being system sellers.
But Lost Odyssey is kick-ass!!

If you're a JRPG fan you HAVE to own a 360, there are just too many RPG you'll lose.

Lol, I was just thinking that.

The problem is I originally wrote it for Rock-On in another thread about why PS3 and Wii owners should want a 360.  Now I'm thinking that I should have just written it from the get-go all over again.

I may do that in a week or so.
