That's very insulting and inappropritate BCNR.  Do not insult other members. This is your warning.

I agree that Crackdown is awesome, but I've never played Saint's Row. Is Saint's Row worth it if I've cancelled my XBL Gold account?

The online multiplayer was a real lagfest so you won't be missing out on much if you played it now. Unless you're trying to get all the achievements, then you're stuck.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

JRPG :
LO/ES/BD average RPG only, really nothing amazing according to reviewer, but Xbox360 still WINs becasue PS3 has nothing except Folklore.

Shooters :
CoD4 is multiplateform, Halo3 belows to past but Gear of war is The Xbox360 exclusive without any doubt. GoW2 should be very good too.
BUT
PS3 has Unchartred/Haze/KZ2/Resistance/(MGS4?) and I doubt they will all bomb : DRAW haze will come to XB 360 MGS 4 is not a shooter but suposedely a stealth game like splinter cell.... KZ 2 is not out how can you compare the library quality now then...

WRPG :
the Xbox360 WINs, Fable2+ME

RACERs :
GT5p+Motorstorm2 > Forza2, PS3 WINs I haven't played GT 5 yet... but looking at the past in term of simulation GT series have never been close to the quality of forza in term of driving... graphics are one thing...but when i'm looking at a simulation i'd take the best handeling over graphics any day... and motorstorm 2 is not out either... I could put forza 3 up there then ???? and then even if GT 5 is better in simulation which I doubt but who knows... i'm pretty sure Forza 3 would take over again...

Plateform :
hum, Ratchet is good and we know nothing about Banjo/Kazooie ...DRAW ? kameo maybe ???? one of the most innovative platformer I have played... could site kameo 2 if I use the same method as you

GTAIV : multiplateform game ... yeah with major exclusive content on XB

At the end, the best plateform for RPG is the Xbox360, while the best plateform for Racer is the PS3

U add the RRoD for the Xbox360 (what a nice exclusive), 50$ online to pay, WHAOOO less than a guiness I don't drink a month for a live experience better than any other support....without saying with the extra money you pay for PS 3 you can afford a couple years of XBL

U add Wiifi, freeonline, BR player and MGS4+FFXIII for the PS3,

and u know which console u have to buy ...

EDIT : actually, LBP+Rachet = PS3 WINs plateform category. LBP the game with 70% of the background drawn by a 4 years old where you can basically just run and jump in a "3 D" world with as much freedom than I had on double dragon 2 on nintendo... where you make you level with every day object you can bounce reasticaly in ??? with good physics ?? I call that a tech demo not a platformer....I'd replay kameo 10 times before buying that game.... it's too bad because the concept had a good base but come on who they are kidding??? how long it's gonna be fun 10 minutes an hour ???

now I might have been a bit harsh on LBP... it looks fun but saying it's like the crazy best platformer to come come on give me a break....

now everybody knows that XB has the best library overall.... it's not me saying it.. it's the meta score... the press... people in general....

but at the end people should buy the console with the game they want what ever the overall quality of the library is....

now another point for all... stop comparing PC with console.... bla bla is not exclu it's on PC bla bla this.. come on  how many time in the past 5 years you had to upgrade your pc or not play at full capacity a game on PC when on console you pay half the price and you are good for the entire generation... with I admit a little under quality.... then the keyboard mouse fact... is getting old... you do realise that not every player cares about sniping 10 enemies in 10 sec in headshot... with that accuracy.... without saying that I'd rather be sitting in the living room with a couple friends a big flat screen and a 5.1 sound system some small theatre dream about.... gaming has become way more immersive on console than Pc except if you have your pc in your living room but still keyboard mouse in the sofa is not that convenient and when it comes to play co op at home with friends or a LAN it's more fun on a XB and I guess a PS 3.... than it is geeking on your PC each at a different desk.... the only game I still play on PC are RTS and even that is about to change apparently....

Around the Network

First off the point of this thread is to sell the idea of buying a 360. Not really demote or bash the PS3 or the Wii but to show why it can measure up or surpasses the other consoles. Bias aside, let keep it real.

My attempt to sell the 360, though I don't own one... yet (stupid wife)

First off, the 360 does have the largest decent gaming library in this current gen. It benefits from being the first out to market and having the strong support from western developers and increased support from eastern developers.

JRPG

360 has the most notible lineup of JRPG with Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, and timed exclusive Eternal Sonata. Currently the other console do not have any notable JRPGs. As starcraft said, there is also a number of JRPG games on its way thanks to the timid support of SE and Tri Force. Though they are yet to be determined any good and all of them are not exclusive to the 360, a JRPG fan would not starve having a 360. With Japan developers looking at the system as a testing ground for more western based idea for JRPGs, it may not be a bad thing. Then again, there is Enchanted Arms....

Shooters

The house that Halo built is anything but shy on shooters. Gear of War series looks to help out with this duty of being an exclusive hit on the 360. With the other two consoles starting to come along on the bandwagon in this current gen market, the 360 still support some of the best (or at very least the largest supply) shooters barring the PC. From aliens to more aliens to terrorists, someone can find a particular target and kill it with glee.

WRPG

Thanks to Microsoft influence in the PC world, it has gotten developers like Bioware and Lionhead studios to produce some incredible hits in this genre. Currently Mass Effect and Fable series are exclusives to the 360 (barring PC ports or licensing agreements) There is no doubt that Bethasda has not forgot its roots and will want their best version of their future games to shine of the 360. Overall if a WRPG was develop for the PC, it eventually will be develop for the 360. If you don't game on a PC, then you have get a 360.

Racers

The Forza series has proven that is can be a heavy contender for any car series out there and since its the only full fledge car simulator game on market currently (see what I did there) it is a must buy for the car monkey gamer. The PGR series, one of the best selling series on the 360, will continue on with Microsoft owning the exclusive right to series. Racing online or off, 360 can drive with the big boys.

Action/Platformers

Microsoft in its second gen of gaming has seen its flaws and have been working on them. Action games have flourished on 360 with western support (Saint Row, Crackdown) increased Japanese support (Dead Rising, Ninja Gaiden) and once exclusive but now honored games (Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto, Resident Evil) Traditional platformers are coming to par with its competitors with such series as Kameo and soon to be released old favorite Banjo and Kazooie.

Casual games

Microsoft recognizes that casual fans need something to play and got a ton of favorites. From old school classic games like Pac Man Dig Dug, and Galaga, to twin stick shooters like Geometry Wars. Not into fast paced games? 360 has games like Viva Pinta, Uno, SceneIt and a of host other games that you can play with the family. The 360 has no problem in finding a game that is right for any member of your family.

The 360 is one of the leaders in online services from XBLA to it movie/tv download content. Its online gaming is currently leading all other platforms and has a couple of packages for level of gamer that you are. Even if you get the Gold Membership its a mere 13 cents a day for an online gaming experience with stat tracking and an achievement system that increases the value of each game. Backed by Microsoft's three year warrenty, the Xbox 360 is a gaming platform that will continue to be honored for years to come.

How was that? Notice I didn't really bash a console or make any promises that wasn't true or flamebait. I simply took the 360 strong points and promoted them. Took everything I truly like about the 360 and put it out there. Was that so hard....

I'm just saying...

You can always rely on good old and a little naive Starcraft to promote the 360 brand. I admire you for sticking with what you believe against all the ods. People trashed me when I announced my beloved Wii to become a huge hit and the PS3 to pick up sales quickly and I was right in the end.

Good luck sticking by your 360 which has all it's games come to pc in the end (with added content), which is a good thing since there hardly is any 360 alive after that time to play the original game anyway.

Don't post flamebait.  This is your warning.

Your post fails hard.  It only accomplishes the following:

1. Throws personal insults at the original poster even though the subject line stated that it was a thread about why someone should buy a 360.

2. Makes generalized, unsupportable arguments such "which has all it's games come to pc in the end" and "there is hardly any 360 alive after that time"

3. Makes no positive statements at all, and in the end shows the poster to be much more biased than the original poster
