First off the point of this thread is to sell the idea of buying a 360. Not really demote or bash the PS3 or the Wii but to show why it can measure up or surpasses the other consoles. Bias aside, let keep it real.

My attempt to sell the 360, though I don't own one... yet (stupid wife)

First off, the 360 does have the largest decent gaming library in this current gen. It benefits from being the first out to market and having the strong support from western developers and increased support from eastern developers.

JRPG

360 has the most notible lineup of JRPG with Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, and timed exclusive Eternal Sonata. Currently the other console do not have any notable JRPGs. As starcraft said, there is also a number of JRPG games on its way thanks to the timid support of SE and Tri Force. Though they are yet to be determined any good and all of them are not exclusive to the 360, a JRPG fan would not starve having a 360. With Japan developers looking at the system as a testing ground for more western based idea for JRPGs, it may not be a bad thing. Then again, there is Enchanted Arms....

Shooters

The house that Halo built is anything but shy on shooters. Gear of War series looks to help out with this duty of being an exclusive hit on the 360. With the other two consoles starting to come along on the bandwagon in this current gen market, the 360 still support some of the best (or at very least the largest supply) shooters barring the PC. From aliens to more aliens to terrorists, someone can find a particular target and kill it with glee.

WRPG

Thanks to Microsoft influence in the PC world, it has gotten developers like Bioware and Lionhead studios to produce some incredible hits in this genre. Currently Mass Effect and Fable series are exclusives to the 360 (barring PC ports or licensing agreements) There is no doubt that Bethasda has not forgot its roots and will want their best version of their future games to shine of the 360. Overall if a WRPG was develop for the PC, it eventually will be develop for the 360. If you don't game on a PC, then you have get a 360.

Racers

The Forza series has proven that is can be a heavy contender for any car series out there and since its the only full fledge car simulator game on market currently (see what I did there) it is a must buy for the car monkey gamer. The PGR series, one of the best selling series on the 360, will continue on with Microsoft owning the exclusive right to series. Racing online or off, 360 can drive with the big boys.

Action/Platformers

Microsoft in its second gen of gaming has seen its flaws and have been working on them. Action games have flourished on 360 with western support (Saint Row, Crackdown) increased Japanese support (Dead Rising, Ninja Gaiden) and once exclusive but now honored games (Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto, Resident Evil) Traditional platformers are coming to par with its competitors with such series as Kameo and soon to be released old favorite Banjo and Kazooie.

Casual games

Microsoft recognizes that casual fans need something to play and got a ton of favorites. From old school classic games like Pac Man Dig Dug, and Galaga, to twin stick shooters like Geometry Wars. Not into fast paced games? 360 has games like Viva Pinta, Uno, SceneIt and a of host other games that you can play with the family. The 360 has no problem in finding a game that is right for any member of your family.

The 360 is one of the leaders in online services from XBLA to it movie/tv download content. Its online gaming is currently leading all other platforms and has a couple of packages for level of gamer that you are. Even if you get the Gold Membership its a mere 13 cents a day for an online gaming experience with stat tracking and an achievement system that increases the value of each game. Backed by Microsoft's three year warrenty, the Xbox 360 is a gaming platform that will continue to be honored for years to come.

How was that? Notice I didn't really bash a console or make any promises that wasn't true or flamebait. I simply took the 360 strong points and promoted them. Took everything I truly like about the 360 and put it out there. Was that so hard....

I'm just saying...
