Forums - Gaming - My E3 2017 Predictions: Part 1: EA

I'm going to have series of E3 Prediction threads. This was originally going to all be one thread, but the sections of Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo got so big that I decided to have each confernce in a different thread. There will be six different thread in the span of the next two weeks or so.

I swear, not every thread will actually be this short. This conference is the easiest to predict, and also will probably be the most boring out of all of them, so I'm getting this one out of the way quickly.

The show will start off with a trailer for the need for speed game. The game will probably be Underground like, just like NFS 2015. However the always online requirement of the previous game will be present in this game. I'd guess that the game will be called Need for Speed 2(because of a lack of a better name). The release date...................... the last few released in the month of November, so lets just leave it at that for now.

Then you have your usual sports games Fifa, Madden, Nhl, Nba, and e-sports stuff. Nothing too special. Madden late-August, Fifa mid- September, and Nba late-September. This will probably take up most of the conference, just like it did last year.

Some random indie game, just like the one they showed last year.

Another trailer for Visceral's Star Wars (they will likely reveal the game at Star Wars Celbration next week). The game will be slated for 2018.

The show will end will Star Wars Battlefront 2, with a long segment showcasing mostly singleplayer (I think the celbration will be more geared towards multiplayer). EA will boast about how much better the campaign is, just like they did with Titanfall 2. Release date................ lets take a random guess with the date November 21st, 2017.

Overall, I don't think this conference is going to be too exciting. Their random talk about sports games will probably take up most of their conference, which is quite remenicient of last year.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Agree with this one.

I'm not even going to watch EA's bullshit this year, it's just so tedious and predictable.

I think you probably have it about right. Need for Speed, sports, some indie game and then Battlefront. Maybe there will be a surprise in there, maybe not. Can't say I care.

Their E3's are the same thing every year, so I think you're going to be pretty on point with this. I only watch their conference out of boredom, and for the cringeworthy moments too =P

Will probably be the worst one like always. Lots of concept art and sport...

EA are always predictable. They will rely on more sports, more 3rd person shooters. I'm not even expecting them to bring CC& back from the dead. They tried that already 3 years ago and they dissolved two studios and a project in the process.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

This year it'll be worth it for Amy Hennigs Star Wars game. Battlefront 2 might be interesting as well as is a new NFS.

what franchise is that character from your profile from? Just wondering

You're missing something BIG! Not sure if it'll be at the EA press conference or what, but it should still be scheduled for an E3 announcement or in the very least, a teaser! :)

Other than that good thread. Looking forward to the rest of your predictions :)

It's from a game called A Hat in Time, it's a 3D platformer, comes out this year.
