I feel you bro! There's a guy on this forum who has a username referring his favorite game ever and who jumps at every chance to promote it, so annoying! (but keep it down, he might be near...)

Perhaps Persona 5, BotW, and HZD actually ARE must-lay games? Not everything has an agenda tied to it

They're good games but I don't think I'd go so far as to lay them though.

True- just can't beat the true classics like Starfox Zero and Infinite Warfare.

Why not? Are the holes in the disc too small for you?

Now today with games like Horizen, Witcher 3, and recently Persona 5 it seems like everyone is saying "This is a masterpiece!! You must play now!" Hyping up a game that doesnt need it and arguably is better without it.. I enjoy Persona because they were games that recieved great reviews and had a humble, also niche, community. I never really experience this with Nintendo games, but Xbox and PS fans really want people to know they enjoy the game. Sure Zelda had some of this, but it also leads to discussion about the actual game, not just "This game is GOAT" "Yes Masterpiece", but instead keep the community.
I dont know if this makes any sense. |
How do you come to video game message boards and complain about people being excited for games? I rather hear people talk up games first over console slapfights. Games like Persona, Zelda and The Witcher 3 do a lot to bring joy to people. New games should be exciting when they're good. And mocked when they're hyped up and bad like MEA. Hell, especially this year, the wave of good games we're getting damn near feels like a renaissance.
