Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Now that Yooka Laylee is essentially a critical failure... this is good time for Banjo Three!

serves them right for virtue signalling so close to release.

Around the Network

Yooka-Laylee is more modern and plays better than Super Mario 3D World in every aspect. I do not understand the bad reviews at all. Mario 3D World with it's fixed camera, restrictive timed level design and monotoneous coin collection should have been criticized for being archaic and outdated but not this game.
Yooka-Laylee offers highly varied AAA Banjo-Kazooie feeling and a near perfect implementation of the Super Mario 64 formula.

Well you have a high tolerance for bad game design.

Either way, quit dragging this on. The moral of the story is I think Playtonic is capable of better as was ND.

Looks like you've got a terrible tolerance for good games.

Only story here is the first uncharted is good now but great at the time while the first Yooka Laylee was meh.

When someone says "at the time" they mean "bad game."

People are allowed to like mediocre games, I enjoy a few myself for what they do well. Uncharted is just one of those games for you.

I said at the time and as recent as last year.  Tons of people enjoyed it on the ps4 collection.  I'm afraid you're just straight up wrong!

You got it the other way around. If anything Microsoft will see it as one more proof that people don't want these games anymore.

exxxxxzacccccttttlly

Was thinking the same thing. Xbox tends to go hard at the beginning of generations with exclusives and backing, but then they go back into business mode and reviews of this game make it look very undesired. Though there is a chance we see BK at E3 but probably just being optimistic at this point. p.s really enjoying Yooka Laylee but fuck that camera sometimes haha.
