Forums - Gaming Discussion - Forbes : Microsoft's Xbox Scorpio Should Be Worried About The Nintendo Switch

We'll have to see how this holiday fares with PS4Pro, XboxOneElite (which both contain 98% of the same library) and Switch that now has the power of ZeldaBOTW+MarioKart8D+Spla2oon+MarioOdyssey.

If we go by recent history (2011 with the 3DS and OOT 3D, mario kart 7, super mario 3d land, its super price cut...the xbox 360 was the top selling console in the US/world; 2014 with Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Brothers 4, Bayonetta 1/2, Donkey Kong TF, Captain Toad and Hyrule Warriors and the 3DS [insert games here]...PS4 dominated; 2015 with Splatoon, XCX, Mario Maker, Yoshi WW [and again insert 3ds games here]PS4 dominated again) im sure for this holiday, the PS4 and xbox (and their variations) won't have anything to worry about.

I think it would be best to actually see what the Scorpio actually is first?

But they are competing in the console market so of course they have to worry for competition

Woof! That's even bigger than the sales disparity.

Don't give him that woof! He hasn't earned that woof! Take that woof back!

The only people that will want the scorpion are the people that want to brag about having the most powerful console, even though you can get far more powerful PCs. It doesn't have a legitimate market and thus it will fail.

Sales prediction, PS4: 122 Million, Xbox one: 50 million, Switch: 105 million.

That data proves my point even if it is not accurate.

Is this one of those blog guys who doesn't really work for Forbes but people seem to link to them all the time?

It should sell great then :) Judging by all the years of 1080p vs 900p / 1.84tf vs 1.31tf and secret sauce debates.

Scorpio domination confirmed with better resolution, 4K player and faster processing power.

98%  ?

3 out of how many total games launched in the same time frame? The libraries are still well over 90% identical and will always remain that way as they are both "me-too" systems.

I suppose.  That 10% does make me see the systems as very distinct though.  Big titles like Gears or Uncharted affect my perception far more than annual EA Sports titles.
