It was kind of expected. What I've seen so far looks more like nostalgia than a great game. Rare made som fantastic games in the past buy many of them are really showing their age.

Hopefully there will be a demo so we can decide for ourselves. I didn't particularly like the 2 main characters but it looked worth a look. Hopefully they'll try to improve it.

Wow. I guess the fiasco with the Nintendo fanbase and the JonTron controversy should have been warning signs.

I said in a previous thread that this game looked like garbage compared to Super Mario Odyssey, but I had no idea it would be this bad. And this is coming from someone who backed the project on Kickstarter.

Huh i see no problem here. They didn't promising anything more than a spiritual successor to banjo.

Nostalgia is the reason this game was funded. Comments like stuck in an era that isn't fit for 2017 wasn't even a concern for people who crowd funded the game.

You can pay homage without repeating mistakes of the past.  Not judging too harshly as I haven't played it, but if the game does bring the design bagaged of 1996 with it, that's not a good thing and not "nostalgic".  That would be like intentionally having obnoxious sprite flickering in a 2D game for "nostalgia's sake".

They don't all review this poorly.

Even if Shenmue 3 doesn't review well, I'll be happy to have it.

Wow, just watched some of the Gamexplain review. Forget the archaic design flaws, this thing hasn't been optimized for crap on consoles and is, in my opinion, an absolute crapshow on Xbone proportionate to how demanding it *should* be. Now I have little doubt they hit technical issues on Wii U, not because the game is demanding (seriously, just look at it), but due to plain incompetence on the technical side.

Not completely unexpected, but it does sound like a lot of these reviewers don't/wouldn't like Banjo-Kazooie. The game looks good to me and most of the complaints in the reviews I read are not cause for concern. Some people just seem to think BK is outdated, I think it's better than almost any game that released this gen.
