why would they make a wow2 when the newest expansion "wrath of the lich king" isnt even out yet. i like the character models still. and on top of that u can change a few things in the expansion. if they made a wow 2 they would kill wha they have started. i think the graphics are fine if u thikn they are outdaed try going into the video interface and try upping the graphics with the lighting and such and u will see a huge difference i did.

They wont do anything untill wow stops being highly profitable.

-UBISOFT BOYCOTT!-

I hope they never develop that and start making proper games again instead, they have fallen a lot since Warcraft 2, Starcraft and Diablo I & II in my eyes.

Youl have to wait 10 years for it , just like for a Starcraft sequel :P

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Since there is only one released WoW expansion, and MMOs can last forever, you can expect WoW2 to be released in 2020 or shortly there after. In the mean time Blizzard won't release Diablo MMO because it is to similar to WoW and that prints money for Blizzard at the moment. A Starcraft MMO wouldn't be out of the possibility though (hell, it might get 10 million subscribers in S. Korea alone).

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

@smith, that was great

@rock on, don't know about s. korea alone, but asia as a whole has 5 million wow players and i believe s. korea bought 5 million copies of starcraft, plus the pirated copies.

Considering starcraft has sold a about 5 million in South Korea, I think a starcraft mmo would be viable even if it was only released in South Korea. But I hope they don't release it as I'd probably be one of the people that dies playing it or something.

It won't be a Diablo MMO. Diablo is hack'n'slash and that won't translate to how Blizzard keeps true to their games. I love Diablo for the fast grind and massive slaughter, not the redundant gameplay that a WoWish Diablo MMO would entail.

Warcraft was a real time strategy game before WoW. That didn't stop it from being an RPG.

It's all about the story line and characters. The game play is irrelevant to it becoming an MMORPG.
