I actually have. I've taken down all four of the divine beasts, got the master sword from the stone in front of the deku tree after upgrading to 13 hearts from taking down dozens of temples, completed all of the memory locations from the picture upgrade to my tablet, bought my house, upgraded the house, upgraded my village, and defeated Calamity Ganon, and finally took down Dark Beast Ganon thanks to the assist from Zelda.

What's it to you?

It's hilarious how it's unimaginable to you that someone would prefer the combat in Horizon a lot more compared to the combat in BotW. Have you considered perhaps they're one of those poeple that really doesn't like having multiple weapons break in one battle? There's plenty of legitimate reasons to prefer one way more than the other on either side as both have their pros and cons. It's easy to see how someone could prefer one ot the other having spent dozens of hours playing both.

.. have you spent dozens of hours playing both?

I'm sorry,  but I'm not gonna pretend I believe you when I don't, and you naming all the obvious things everyone does in BoTW is actually even more suspicious and only tells me that you are informed about the basic stuff of the game, which is obvious after an entire month hating on every BoTW thread.

I never said you couldn't preffer Horizon combat, of course you can and I understand why, Horizon has cool combat, but to say Zelda is "waaaaaaaaay" worse is pushing it too far imo, I don't know why some people acts like if I said something bad about Horizon, I didn't.

I believe him. However, if he just posts his WiiU name info or his Switch friend code, I'm willing to look at his profile and verify it for you.

To be fair though I have seen a bunch of stuff about BoTW and didn't know about anything that he just said......thanks fo rthe spoiler Potato lol. So you can't say those things are obvious....just like you can't say he didn't beat it and then go on to say WE all know it. Not cool at all man.....if you don't believe it that is fine just say that. And no there is nothing wrong with the original poster saying that they felt the combat in Horizon was waaaaaaaaaay better. That is not pushing it too far at all if that is how they feel. Saying that can have lots of different meanings, like maybe he felt it was more satisfying or that he preferred the different arrows and combat mechanics in Horizon and felt they were way better. So no you can't say that he oushed it to far.

You act as if he said something bad about BoTW and he didn't by saying he went too far.....

Anyway OT

I need to hurry and finish up Tales of Berseria so I can get on this asap!

Sorry for the spoiler. I'd edit that post but a mod already spoilered it for me. Thanks CGI.

Another Horizon thread became a Zelda thread.... just great.

Despite owning Horizon for few weeks I've only recently began playing it and it's amazing so far.

But I'm fairly early in the game.

Dude, Zelda is everywhere.  I listen to a lot of podcasts and even the ones centered around Sony and Microsoft can't help talking about Zelda almost every week.  It literally feels like everyone is playing it.

Something...Something...Games...Something

Currently playing it and the game is surpassing all my expectations, it is AMAZING an easy 9+ honestly Metacritic goofed this time with that score but anyway getting back on topic, there is only one thing that bothered me and its the fact that i fucked up at one early part of the game, (the proving) and i thought i couldnt restart that part because i saved hours before  and then later i realize that the game does constantly does and keeps like 10 autosaves everytime something happens and you can load any of them, so i could have restarted that part i screwed up... and now im seriously thinking of restarting my whole playthrough just so i can do it right this time...

So there's literally no way I can prove to you that I've completed Breath of the Wild. That's cool. I really don't care. And it's amazing how you can say I've been "hating" on something I've literally called "one of the best games to come out in years" just because I don't believe it's a perfect game, and find some of the mechanics annoying. I've never hated the game. In fact, enjoy it a lot.

So I take it by your comment that you haven't put dozens of hours into Horizon? Then you have no right to speak as to whether or not you can visualize a scenario in which someone might find the combat mechanics when comparing the two is"wayyyyyyy"  better or worse in one or the other.

But I never said Normnacho opinion isn't valid, it totally is, I just asked if he played BoTW and then I gave my opinion about his opinion, I think his coment was hyperbolic, but that doesn't mean is not legit.

You can show me that I'm wrong though, is pretty simple actually, you only need a mobile phone and a pen, write your name on a paper, make a photo of the game in action with the paper in front of it, I rarely have any problems recognizing I was wrong.

And yes, you have been pretty much hating on the game and suggesting that everybody that had no problem with it is a fanboy, even when most of the people seems to have no big issue with it at all, one only needs to take a tour in the BoTW thread to see your coments.

I do think we are derrailing this too much though, it would be better to continue the discussion in other place if you don't mind.

Yeah, done that before. All that happened was that I got accused of photoshopping the image and/or taking an image using a friend's device. The goalposts just move. I really, really could not care less if you don't think I've played the game. You're not worth the effort.

And I've never called anyone here a "fanboy" you're not allowed to use that word on this site, don't you know?

If you think this one has the feel of wonder of Nes Zelda then you are gonna explode with joy when you play BotW. I still don't get why this is constantly compared to zelda honestly, I tried it last weekend, it was cool but is just a completely different kind of game, it doesn't feel anything similar.

Exactly what I was thinking. These 2 games really have little in common besides having bow wielding characters and evil mechanical enemies. In essence, these are two totally separate games in gameplay style, features, etc. Horizon is an amazing game, I've put about 30 hours into it, but for me, Zelda has the better gameplay and features.

I had a lot of fun with Horizon. I didn't enjoy it as much as many others here seem to have, but overall it was still a fun experience.

+ The gameplay was a lot of fun, and far more dynamic than i expected.
+ It's visually stunning. Some of the cities were a bit underwhelming, but all the natural environments were genuinely breathtaking.
+ The story was dumb, but the good kind. Sometimes a man just wants quality fluff, and Horizon delivered.
+ It's the first open world game I've played where the towers are a treat rather than a chore. When you see a tall neck striding along in the distance, you know you're in for some fun.

- Everything about the side quests. The writing, voice acting, animations, and actual activities were all highly inconsistent. I did enjoy some of them, but most left me frustrated.
- Aloy is the worst kind of OP. I liked Aloy's personality, but she's almost totally flawless. Every problem she faces is because of external forces, and she pushes them all aside with ease. This is doubly frustrating because they do actually set up what could have been an interesting flaw; socialising. She's spent her entire life being ostracised, and has spoken almost exclusively to 1 person during that time. They could have used that to add interesting dynamics to how she deals with people, and made her more relatable. Instead it's ignored, and Aloy is amazing at socialising with everyone from every culture, and can turn any argument in her favour. It got old for me pretty quickly.

Overall it's an 8.0 from me.

Yep. I started playing yesterday for the first time and I got hooked right away. It is an amazing beautiful game but it looks even better on my new TV, the ks8000.

I am really getting into the story, but so far I don't know if I like the gameplay as much as others. But I think I may just not be good enough or have the right weapons. Right now I guess I feel underpowered despite being overleveled for the main quests. If there is more than one beast, and usually there's a lot more, I feel like I'm just running for my life and trying to get one or two shots off when I can. It's much more fun when I can be stealthy and set traps, but so often it seems to devolve into a mess of running away and waiting for the slow time to recharge.

Hopefully those of you who have played it more can give me some tips. The only bows I really use are the tripcaster, main bow, and the sharpshooter. I've upgraded them both up to Shadow Level.
