Surprised so many believe it can do 4m this year in japan alone....
Am I underestimateing it too much, in thinking it ll more likely do like 2.5m?

3DS did 4.3 million in its first year so not completely out of the question.

3.5m. Splatoon 2 is probably gonna end up selling 2m copies, I think it's gonna blow up. And to top it off we also have Mario Kart and Mario Odyssey.

That launched at 249$ though, and 3months into it got price cut down to 170$.

I dont see it doing 4m in japan first year, I just dont.... well maybe if Nintendo gets a 199$ price on it before the holidays.

2.5 million is a fair prediction. As of right now Nintendo doesn't seem to be budging too much on producing more consoles than they envision on selling, so a soft estimate of ~8 million by the end of the year (WW) is good to go off of, give or take some over-production. However, we will see if Nintendo decides to expand production with NPD and Media Create in the coming months. If supply constraints continue and Nintendo starts producing more then there's a possibility for 3+ million, obviously.

My prediction: 2.8 million.
