Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Here’s what every amiibo gives you in Breath of the Wild (infographic)

Used the Smash Link amiibo to get Epona since I needed her, but I don't wanna cheese the game by over-relying on amiibo.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Got the 8-bit link, but haven't received any of the exclusive items.
I do forget to scan it from time to time~

Thanks to this functionality, here where I live all Zelda-related amiibo are completely sold out everywhere I have checked.
And scalpers on amazon marketplace and auction sites are selling them for 3 - 10 times the original SRP.

You can save before scanning and reload if you didn't get what you wanted.

Maybe too much of a hassle but I'll try it out next time, thanks!

What I did notice is that you have to close BotW even if a day has passed for the daily limitations to be revoked.

Nice, but Wolf-Link is missing.

That's the one I have and I obviously got wolf-link in game but that's all.

That's what that particular amiibo was created for it's tied to TP, Wolf Link's heart counter is affected by the extra trials added in TP so all it can do is summon Wolf Link.

Not up on amiibo, but why does smash link get extras besides just epona surely the gear is in game and  all the amiibo does is register itself to the particular  game the sofware recognises it and you obtain what ever was put in to botw for that particular amiibo.

I kinda want to start collecting these things. The only one I have is Wolf Link and it was awesome to use.

I have Wolf-Link too. First it's great to have him in BotW but I soon realized that he's pretty useless at the same time. With only 3 hearts he gets killed pretty easily outside of the Great Plateau and he makes sneak attacks (which I love) almost impossible. Unfortunately I had to stop using him.

For BotW I can recommend the SSB amiibos of Link (for Epona and Twilight clothes) and Zelda (for the Twilight Bow). I have them both and bought Sheik today as an addition (for Sheik's mask).

Two of my ingame pics:

Link and Epona: http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o371/SalvadorLimones/IMG_0770.jpg

Link in TP clothes: http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o371/SalvadorLimones/IMG_0771.jpg

Outside of fights I always let Link run around in his sexy blue shorts, btw. Feels more natural and I love the NPC reactions.

The Twilight Bow (best bow in the game afaik) didn't spawn for me yet as you need to free one divine beast first. This also applies to other unique items. Here's a list with all items drops from amiibos and the game progress needed (list contains the above spoiler): https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/comments/5y3r8o/spoilers_updated_breath_of_the_wild_amiibo_item/

I was lucky never got around to using my wolf-link in the shadow caves in TP, so I have 20 hearts.

I dunno. I think he's pretty cool. He can distract tough enemies so you can stab them in the back, he will find things for you if you set your camera to track them, you can command him to stay by "talking to him", and I just like the companionship.
