Nah, seriously though, the constant e-penis contest is annoying. Arguing which game has the best graphics, the most gameplay hours, most amount of (often useless) detail, best metascore, number of concurrent players, lifetime sales etc. It gets really, really old.

I care about the former companies that were gobbled up for their IPs by a monopolistic company and their studios were dismantled or shut down.  My hate for EA will continue till the day I die.

I didn't read through every post like I usually do, but one I really find annoying is "I'll wait for an emulator."

It annoys me so much because they are being so cheap and selfish they aren't even going to pay or contribute to the industry they are enjoying. They are going to be the reason for much stricter controls on games and a big decline in video game quality or the cancellation of good series'.

Good graphics = shitty gameplay.
Innovation bla bla bla....
Gaming in times of yore was sooo much better...
Only X company is a real gaming company.
Console being not powerful enough for 60 fps (framerate is a DESIGN CHOICE goddammit! )

This for me as well. Not necessarily speaking about people who buy a game and pirate it later for mods (that seems legally gray to me, but I don't know enough on the topic to argue it), but the group that actualy foregoes purchasing a game in order to pirate it for free are individuals I'll never ever respect. Honestly, it ashames me to share a hobby with these individuals...and I certainly refuse to call them gamers for the reasons you've stated.
