I wonder if this is the same situation as Fallout 3, the guy who modeled the faces was a childhood friend of Todd Howard.

Like, the female protagonist looks genuinely awful, there's no excuse for that.

The animations are so weird and funny, even if unintentionally. The big issue is dialogue just feels so off. The quests are not that interesting either. Just from the initial few hours of the game. Let's see it all comes together.

So I went through a second playthrough and made a completely new character, and had way better results than my first try. The first female character I made ended up looking like Tony Parker, so that was never going to work. Also on the second playthrough, I hardly noticed the character oddities like I did the first playthrough.

From what I've played, I think it's brilliant. A lot of the dialogue is really funny, and reminds me of some proper space opera pulp.

Wait huh? Are you serious? Were the facial animations in Horizon THAT bad or are you being sarcastic? Because from what I have seen in Horizon the facial animations were not bad at all. Not UC4 level but nowhere near bad.

whoops, seems like the joke wasn't understood properly, I was referencing to the early complaints about the facial expressions and rather dull dialogues that Horizion recieved before release, I'll edit my post so that more people don't misunderstand it...

My thoughts exactly. Makes me want to cry. Sheppard deserved better. I've only played a little bit but, like others have said, it doesn't look good. I'm hoping it hooks me, though.
