Forums - Nintendo - Switch is performance wise between Wii U and Xbox One

Looking at the beautiful Zelda and the gameplay :) I would say that I'm pretty fine with the specs!

I don't think Rockstar makes 300$ hardware...

What does that have to do with third party multi-platform games skipping the Switch?

And how the hell do you know Rockstar won't be releasing games for Switch? Did they tell you?

Well Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't coming to the Switch... so... I mean there's that.  Can you name any Rockstar published games that have been announced for the Switch?

Well, I can give you this: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-5-parent-company-excited-about-nintendo-switch/1100-6447689/

Also, I can ask you which Rockstar game was present in launch for the PS4? When was the first Rockstar game announced for PS4? Did it have 11 days in the market like the Switch or some months already? Check that out please.

While Rockstar may or may not release a game on switch it is absolutely ridiculous to assume they would NOT release their main games on ps4 and xboxone. It is a given. An announcement would be tantamount to announcing the sun would come up in the morning. Sure there's a chance it might explode before that but is the chance high enough to warrant an announcement every morning?

Obviously. But the fact is that companies do not announce games until they think it's time to do so.

Assuming they wont be releasing in Switch after 11 days of a console launch is equally ridiculous.

Such a silly argument.

Can you name the last Playstation home console that did not feature titles like Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption? How about Nintendo? I think Chinatown Wars for the DS, and Table Tennis or Bully: Scholarship edition for the Wii might be the ones, all of which struggled to make back its development costs, and never rendered Rockstar much of a profit. Need I mention the last one of these games was released almost a decade ago, and none of them were mainline Rockstar franchise titles?

If wasn't a question of if GTAV was coming to PS4, it was a matter of when. You can't honestly say that about the Switch.

Right, so when those other companies were announcing their multi-platform games that were coming to the Switch, Rockstar decided to leave our their intentions to devlop RDR2 for the Switch as a fun surprise for later because reasons, even though the announced the game within a month of the Switch release. That makes sense.

It's equally silly to assume something will happen just because it happened before. The hype and publicity around the Switch surpasses largely anything Nintendo released before, and the 1.5 million consoles sold in 2 days show just that.

Be objective, and wait for some more time before making such assumptions.

I am being objective. There's no reason to expect RDR2 to appear on the Switch. Every single indicator points to that not happening at this point. There's literally no reason to think it might happen other than the fact that they haven't definitely ruled it our publicly. Then again, they also haven't definitely said they're not going to give the game away for free to anyone whose last name ends with a "Z" either, so let's keep up our objectivity, and assume that might happen!
