Very much enjoyed the time I had with Overwatch. I feel like it would be a good complement to Splatoon 2.

Why do you need to sit next to plug? I would expect people to want pro-controller with this baby more than anything else. Plus joy-cons are removable. You don't have to be physically near a plug. 3 hours? Zelda barely holds up at 3 hours. Overwatch is far more taxing and would require constant  use of the wifi signal. That would drain the battery in less than an hour would be my guess.

I couldn't even imagine how the switch would help up even an hour playing a graphically intense game on wifi.

My wifi is 100% on and Zelda still lasted close to 3hrs. While it may very well be worse than Zelda's life span, I doubt it would down to 1 hour. Either way I think it is a poor point to consider as I said before. People will be near wifi to play this game which means they are likely also near power.

Zelda uses about.. 0% of your wifi.  Overwatch - would use 100%. I'm sure you can see the difference.

It is possible as a "docked" version over. Assuming they fix their various Wi-fi issues.

For the math to make sense that Wifi would 1/3rd the battery life of the Switch playing Zelda you are suggesting that the Wifi portion of the console uses 200% the power of the entire rest of the device.

Stop and think about for a minute. Then stop.

 

Edit - FAST RMX which is a 720p/60 game while undocked or 1080p(or 900p)/60 docked can run perfectly fine for online games for at least a few hours of play. Have tested and confirmed, and also while overwatch looks nice, the game is primarily coridors and very small area's to fight in. I highly doubt it would be impossible on the switch, but I'll be honest and say I very much doubt it would be ported over.

Check out at the 3:30 mark in the video above and consider that it's a 8 player online racer, it's really beautiful in both docked and undocked mode and most certainly can pump out those visuals for over 2 hours while undocked and online from personal use.

Constant use of wifi for a heavy graphical game? There is no way that would last anywhere near 3 hours.

Perhaps instead of passive aggressive insults you actually add to the conversation.

Nevermind, more or less 60 fps always on PS4 at 1080p.

Switch should be able to do a 720p 30fps or so of the game, at the least.

Based on what logic? Because overwatch devs themselves are more or less saying "don't get your hopes up".

Notice how you didn't answer my question? How long do you think overwatch - you know the THREAD YOU ARE IN RIGHT NOW - would last on a handheld?

edit: infact ignore that. Your inability to have a basic conversation, answer any questions. Combined with the fact you are admitting you are being overly aggressive and your desperate attempt (twice now) to end a conversation with "you're wrong" makes you an absolute waste of time.

Wait are you refering to Overwatch as an MMO so in your question? I genuinely did not think you would consider a 6v6 team shooter as being MMO?

But yeah, if you think the Switches wifi unit uses double the power of the whole system then power to you! Ignore me away. Also You'd be hard pressed to find any player of Overwatch referring to it as massively multiplayer.
