Face it, its really obamacare 0.9

The US already spends more per captia on healthcare than any other country in the world. It doesn't need to spend more money, it needs to spend its money better. Unfortunately that's a lot easier said than done :/

I live in The Netherlands I pay around 100 euro for healthcare, with 600 euro own-rsik, so I end up paying most things myself, and thats concidered "good" in the US?

Americans decided to elect a super rich megalomaniac billionaire celebrity, Trump as their President. So what you have no job, no education, no healthcare. Just vote Trump and believe one day you will become as rich as Trump. Keep on waiting... and waiting. Europeans and Canadians have been enjoying their socialist health care systems for 50+ years.

Don't forget Oceania like New Zealand and Australia. ;)

Trump from the very beginning was the only republican candidate that supported the general idea of Obamacare. You can find proof in all his early debates. He only criticized the inefficiency and lack of competition that lead to extremely high costs and heavily overpriced medication.

The Republicans on the other hand were always extremely against any kind of mandatory healthcare insurance, if you put Romneycare aside. I hope they do not cripple Trumps ideas because the proposed version of Trumpcare could be even worse than Obamacare initially because of their influence.

But the final version will be a role model for the world, especially for other western countries, where medical costs could be cut in half by still providing a better, more affordable service using Trumps ideas.

There is zero reason that the exact same medication, produced in the same factory costs up to 1000x more in western countries compared to India or China. Therefore we need international competition and international buying for all kinds of medical services. And there is no reason that medical tech companies are allowed to charge the public services 100$ for 50 cent worth of hardware. The western medical pricing is insane, and Trump wants to change that!

Oh....you mean like our current President? Because that's exactly how he got where he is. Inherited the first bunch, bumbled and cheated his way through the rest. Not to mention going "bankrupt" multiple times, and somehow still managing to come out on top. It was always hilarious from the very beginning, that people were actually buying his rhetoric about "being an outsider" and "draining the swamp", for two reasons.

1. He has, for decades, BEEN one of the "special interests" with Congress in his pocket.

2. The instant he got elected, he put together a cabinet filled with mostly, you guessed it, old "insiders", both from DC, and the speciial ineterest camps, aka his Big Business buddies. Not a single person he put in his cabinet is NOT rich, and most of them are major corporate players of some sort or another. So while he played the people on a "populist" bill of goods to conservative whites etc. who wanted to "take their country back", the real truth is, and always has been, that he and his super-rich buddies are all out for themselves, and every single thing they try to do for the next four years, is going to be to benefit their own bottom line, nothing else.


It isn't as if Hillary was the answer, and both major parties are corrupt, the system itself a decaying forum. We should have never had "Two Major Parties" to begin with, that was never the intent of the "Founding Fathers". But regardless, that is what we have, and blind zealot voters on BOTH sides, every four years, vote desperately to "save the country" from the other party. Dems get into power to "save the country" from the GOP, and then four (or eight) years later, the GOP rides back into the White House, claiming to "save the country" from the Dems. And all the while, both parties are made up of, primarily, the super rich, who do NOT share the interests or concerns of the common Americans, who don't care about the environment, or the future of this country. Because if they did, they'd truly work to change things for the better. Instead, both parties work feverishly to make damn sure that things stay exactly as they are, stagnant and on a steady decline.

And I say this as somoene who used to vote "Dem", because "you had to". Because "it's the only way people can make a difference". I have come to understand, however, that politicians and politics are not the way any real, meaningful change is ever going to occur. People in the private sector, rich AND poor, and work to make things happen on their own, in many ways. But politics? It only ever serves those running, not those voting.

Or, just a thought, we could stop being one of THE biggest military spenders in the world. The US spends more on "defense" budget per year, than most of the other top countries combined. It's not even close. If we stopped spending many billions on "defense" every year, there is an AWFUL lot those resources could go to, actually helping people here at home.

This is really dumb. ACA works and its barely old enough to say that it had its chance.
This is just trump and the republican party measuring dicks with Obama and the democrats.

People don't even realize the millions that will be spend just by making these useless changes...

If the USA stopped spending on defense it would cease to be the worlds superpower.
