Forums - Nintendo - 1-2-Switch Metacritic sore 57

This game is supposed to be the Switch's Wii Sports and was fairly well received by fans on the forums.  What do you make of the reviews, and effect this has on the Switch's appeal?

[Time] gave the most favorable review 90, an odd conclusion.

"The best reason to consider picking up Nintendo's new console. Yes, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild may go down as the finest game Nintendo's yet made. But you can play Zelda on Wii U. 1-2-Switch only works on the Switch."

There are some pretty poor scores there, perhaps one of the worst games Nintendo has released.

I think reviewers are more harsh due to it being stand alone. If it was a pack on game with the switch, it would be a lot better received. Not saying I disagree with the score tho.

Also dont we already have a thread about this?

good, hopefully that means more zelda and less of this shit.

That sure is a mighty no. (read as number)

Good. Maybe now they will try to make more games like Zelda and less shovelware like that.

Went down a treat a the last piss up I was I at. Great laugh. But yeah if I was reviewing it during the day with colleagues at work I would score it low too I imagine. It does what it sets out to do though which is really just be a simple party game. Like sing Starr etc.

If they are grading it as a home console, yeah i could see that, but it's a handheld should get better.

This really should have been a pack in, or at the very least, a $20 game. I was thinking about getting it but just couldn't justify a compilation of shallow mini games that are mostly based off a glorified rumble feature. I figure one of my buddies will pick it up at some point, or I'll just wait till it hits budget price. Does look like it could make for a fun thanksgiving game or something to bust out with friends for a drinking game but it's not something I'd play on a regular basis.

Poor framerate and no singleplayer campaign or online multiplayer clearly hurt the score.

That or the fact that most 'hardcore' reviewers would lose their audience (job) if they gave it more than 6/10.
