Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Switch - Why whould I?

Well, for your case, I suppose not, at least for now. As for the Switch's overall future, I think it's still too early to determine that.

Buy it to play Nintendo games that will eventually come to the console. If you're not into many Nintendo games then don't buy it.

Then don't buy one. Considering that there are already tons of topics about the Switch, I don't see the need for a special announcement.

"convince me to buy something i dont want"

I think you got it the wrong way. The actual intent is "reassure me that I am making the correct decision", because the decision is already made.

It doesn't seem like he's asking anyone to convince him, he's already made up his mind. He just wants us all to know that.

So an even worse concept

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

I fear, for nintendo, as soon as it becomes more attractive (mk, mario) it will be crushed by the scorpio.
To answer some of the statements: i heared that a selling point is, that it can easily connect some switch consoles locally...so if nooe has it, whats the point for me? The game library will improve? Well, yeah, but again mario, mario kart and zelda? And additionally skyrim? Skyrim? I had this on the ps3 and now on ps4...you can get this for 20 bucks everywhere. If they had gta5, we could talk, but this is also not a game for portables, and even that is already a cross generation game.
Are there any plans for monster hunter? The last thing i heared was mh X2 on the 3ds...

Hello,

I got a PS4 and a New 3DSXL and a good supply of games.

Now: Switch

- only Zelda (minigames, bomberman,i dont care)

- sold out at amazon, so i must go in a store and hope, or try to get it from those people who sell it +100

- price is 329€

- i heard the hardware is faulty in some cases (causing scratches, joypad connection(turn off all other devices, even microwave? Are you kidding me?)

- no bluray player?

- all my game friends have a ps4, noone even thinks abt. The switch. So local multiplayer and game borrowing is out.

You know what? I used the wiiu until i got 500hrs of monster hunter, then i sold it all, because the machine became totally useless to me.

Will the switch have the same fate? I think so...

Wait for more games

Wait for stock

Wait for price drop

If it still isn't worth it then don't purchase it.

Also no Blu-ray player, really?? How many portable devices out there play Blu-rays?? Plus you said you have a PS4, so if you really need a Blu-ray player in your house you already have one.

If you already have a PS4 why wouldvyou need a Bluray Player ? Bluray is dying anyway so you would use it only for a few years...

Imho Zelda makes it worth the price, the game is amazing and will keep you hooked for dozzens of hours (hundreds likely if you are a completionist). Anyway if you don't feel like buying it just wait until some more games come out...

It is now or never,if you don't buy now you'll likely never will because its fate is the same a WiiU/vita.

Switch is a fantastic portable, I don't think there is much debate there and if you love Nintendo games then you'll want one at some point. When the sweet spot is with regard buying one is another matter.
