Forums - Nintendo - I'm torn on whether to go for enhanced WiiU ports on Switch

If you already bought a switch just to play Zelda for a couple of months then why are you torn?

IMO should have waited till November to buy one.

Personally I'll just be getting Wii U ports from games I've missed on that system or that I didn't buy any DLC and want to have the full experience (Smash). I was torn on getting MK8 Deluxe but I ultimately decided not to buy it, seeing as I already played the game + DLC to death and Battle Mode alone isn't reason enough for me to get it a second time.

MK8 is only worth it if:

1. You never played it

2. Are addicted and would play forever on handheld mode

3. Love battle mode a lot

I'm in the #2/3 rank, as I am a sucker for good battle mode. I remember putting in 100 hours on mario kart Wii locally for the battle mode :p

From the reviews I have seen, the Switch looks fragile,
and I am shocked on once again no 3rd party support and the also on the no show of classic games on the e-store.
I am amazed on Nintendo strategy.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Because of portable mode, I'll likely rebuy anything I bought before. I spent 6 hours playing Zelda at work, yesterday. Can't wait to go to work tomorrow and do it again!

You have the best job ever!!!

It very easy, you alone need to decide, all games have at least resolution upgrade and offer full handheld experience on to go.

I can see Mario Kart being enjoyable if you don't mind paying for online. I think Shovel Knight is also worth a double dip. Not sure what DMX is. Lego City I think is skip worthy.

I don't know. I'd usually agree with you but Zelda has so much content that it would overshadow any other release for a while. At least a month, for me.

I also skipped Lego City due to the long loading times (similar reason for DK), the co-op and improved loading might get me to buy it.

Not buying WiiU ports that I've already played or any online game until we have further details... That means no Mario Kart 8 Deluxe since I played the heck out of it and the DLC.

I didn't get Switch just for Zelda. I'll still be getting ARMS, Spatoon 2, Tetris as well as possibly RIME and Snake Pass.

Zelda is enough to keep me really busy for a long while. But it's nice to have a 2nd game to cycle through now and then.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
