Source is wrong. GTAIV beats it on 360 alone with many more perfect scores on PS3 and PC. GTAV beats it easily with all platforms combined. The author of the article obviously didn't do much research.

It's currently 48 for GTAIV on 360 vs 45 for BOTW on Switch. I doubt it'll get many more reviews but we'll see in a few months, I suppose.

As for GTAV on all platforms: wouldn't that be multi-dipping, though? I'm under the impression that some sites would review each version, lending to a duplicative effect and inflating the overall count. It'd be one thing if somebody already separated out the unique reviews from each site. Has that been done?

I skimmed over it and double dipping is surprisingly low. It's not a standard practice to review for both platforms. My rough estimate would put GTAIV at well over 60, maybe even 70.

So far, well earned.

Consider that the total number of reviews for all versions of GTAV combined is 188, whereas the max total number of reviews for single games is 87.

Then I say look for yourself.

That's cute; you're the one who made the claim...

Its simply amazing, i hope im able to play it in the recent future.

Goddamn... If it were up to me, BotW would be multiplat so that as many people as possible would be able to play it.

I just want people to play games that they'll love but business is business... Look into PC emulation in the future but emulate responsibly: buy a copy of the game to support the game makers or buy a Switch if you ever feel it has built up a library worthy enough.

Its fine im in favor of exclusives especially first party ones, building up a great library of amazing exclusive games as a way to differentiate your console from the other ones is something i think is healthy for the industry, since its basically competition and each console maker is trying to put out as many exclusive games out there and as good as they can make them, and maybe im full of bullshit when i say this but after playing so many games i feel like exclusives (a lot of the times) do end up having more effort, care and "love" (even thought that sounds corny) put into them, since this games dont just need to sell well they also need to be console sellers.

I will get a Switch probably at the end of the year or start of the next year since right now i dont have the extra cash and im already more than busy enough with a ton of games i wanted to play releasing one after the other, i havent even started Horizon because im nowhere near close of beating Tales of Berseria.

I've just finished Horizon yesterday and am currently in a rotation between Nier: Automata (which I expect to finish within the week), Tales of Berseria (which I'm barely started on), and Breath of the Wild. Let's be friends!

You are right, exclusives do usually have more care put into them.
But that spreads to third party exclusives, not only first party, so it's not necessarily because they need to sell consoles, but because they are more focused projects, IMO.

There is plenty of great third party multiplats just as well, but the proportion of them compared to exclusives seems to be really way lower.

Yeah third partie exclusives too especially if they are working with the console maker to develop the game.

This are my most wanted games:

Horizon

Tales of Berseria

Nioh

Nier Automata

Persona 5

Only reason i havent bought Nioh and Nier Automata is because i had to replace my Dualshock 4 and buy some other things for my house with the money i saved up for them, if that wasnt the case they would be on my shelf right now.

Obviously Zelda Breath of the Wild is there too but im not gonna be able to play it any time soon.
