I think the IP has potential, at least critically. If true, will hope they have a good dev on it. Maybe even a second team at Rare?

It does look like a joke. A fan asked Phil "what are you doing with Blinx?", Phil answered "we gave it to Marty Sliva to see what he can do with it" (Marty Sliva said on Twitter that he was devastated when MS abandoned the trademark), and Sliva jumped at this opportunity by saying "this is legally binding" (on Twitter...).

The "Marty Sliva at IGN is reporting a new Blinx game has been confirmed" sounds like a parody of a classic website headline.

So, maybe true, but the whole thinks sounds like a Twitter joke.

I hear McBiggity is working with a 2000 man team to make this game great. It's the first AAAA game.

Meh while the time mechanics was fairly new then Blinx games were still painfully mediocre. These days a rewind time mechanic in a platformer is kinda done to death.
