28th of february.

1st of March.

Though it doesn't really matter, it's not like the headline would be any different if Zelda/Switch launched March 1st too

Not trying to downplay Horizon, you don't really know what the outcome would be. For or we know the difference could be quite small.

Sorry if I'm sounding like a Zelda fanboy. I own both games and love them both so far.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Game is sold out on Amazon FR and DE. How do these PS4 games keep getting sold out lol. Considering an ever growing digital % ratio, Horizon is an absolute beast.

Didn't the experts on this and other forums say Zeruda would sell more though?

Worldwide LT, I'm sure it will.

Wouldn't  be so sure about  that.... Uncharted 4  8 mill in under a year.

Don't  underestimate the power of PlayStation.

Guess which console has the bigger user base at the moment.

54 million customers on PS4 vs 13 million on Wii U and less than 2 million on Switch.

So,  who can sell their software the most?

Exactly. I hate stats without context. How many did each sell? What were each's sell through. those are relevent stats

Zelda could have sold 100% of its entire shipment for both Wii U and Switch and I would bet Horizon would have still outsold it there and many places. As you said you have like 54 million versus 15 million. Sony woudl have shipped more copies of Horizon than Nintendo would have Zelda. Just for the sole fact there are more people who can purchase it.

Nintendo isn't going to ship 5 million Switch Zelda games, cause they are not even 2 million switches. This is worldwide talk, let alone one region (UK)

I'm more thinking in terms of stock. As no one seems to want to buy the game on WiiU and Switch's availability in the UK is dwindling I don't the extra days would have done it any good. There's likely more copies of Horizon sold in the UK then there is units of the Nintendo Switch shipped to the UK.

And considering its selling out in many retailers it will have even higher digital sales then usual!

First, this is the UK, not worldwide. Secondly, there's a lot more competition on the PS4 than on the WiiU or Switch.

What other big hyped games was launched on PS4 the week of Horizon?.

Your comment in response to the quote only makes sense if everyone with a PS4 only buys games within a few days of them launching. There is more competition on PS4 than WiiU/Switch when it comes to games... that's a fact.

(I'm not arguing in favour of whatever discussion lawlight was having as I couldn't be bothered to read the argument.)

Uncharted 4 wasn't a new franchise, and was bundled with systems for a long time (and still is). I'm not underestimating anyone, but I'm not biased for 1 brand either... Of course with an install base of 53 million users, Horizon will have a higher chance to sell better than Zelda but my guess is that it won't.

To be expected, Nintendo doesn't generally do well in the UK aside from Pokemon so being the 3rd biggest launch for a Zelda game is pretty good

Both of them games didnt have the marketing that Horizon had, In fact ive not seen one ad for any of them 2 games.

Horizon has been very hyped up, so even if it sold at a very low attach rate on PS4 clearly its numbers would be still higher then Zelda's opening.

But both was reviewed highly and many (including my brother) bought these games. I haven't seen any ads for either of the three games.
