You might be on to something since I can't import laptops from amazon.com either due to this reason.

EDIT: ¿Porque no lo compras desde España o Francia?

Pero como lo importo? ya lo intente asi solo con amazon, necesito un tercero.

No te dejan importarlo? En la ayuda parece que es posible.
EDIT: Me he dado cuenta que excluyen las consolas... lo pone bastante claro.

You can't, maybe only applies for Mexico, I found an UK store but is only doing preorder.

That sucks.

I blame samsung for their Note 7 fiasco, the problem is that you can only ship 2 batteries from japan, but to our luck the switch has 3.

Oh, that really sucks D:

I haven't tried importing gaming consoles before so I don't really know how it works exactly.. plus different countries have different importing laws :/

That's a raw deal bro. But I think that's their rule isn't it? I tried to import a Switch from the UK when I was still contemplating getting one, and they said they can't ship here in the US.

Here's what I got from trying to order a MSRP Switch from Amazon.uk

"Sorry, this item can't be sent to your selected address. Learn more. You may either change the delivery address or delete the item from your order"

I also got the same message trying to buy from Amazon Japan. But judging by the Amazon UK site, they said they have run out of week 1 allotments of Switch, but they expect to have more units in March. So maybe this is telling for other Amazon outlets.

In the meantime, try this: https://www.nin-nin-game.com/en/search?controller=search&orderby=date_add&orderway=desc&search_query=nintendo+switch+standard+set&submit_search=Search

You can import a Switch for $350, but I bet the tax and delivery is insane.

Maybe because of the batteries. It's dangerous these days to fly them.

Yep its expensive, I have a cousin near the US border, so she can get me one in Brownsville I hope so... I only have to be 2 more years in Mexico then return to more comfortable country,

They're selling for about $50 over retail (when you include tax) on Ebay US. Tons of people will ship internationally.
