You are welcome. If there are going to be mobile only Switch games, then Nintendo needs to clearly label those games "Switch Mobile". Also, Super Mario Maker could work mobile only for editing and playing, and TV mode for play only with no touch screen available for editing.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Good. I don't want Switch games to be required to fulfill both. This widens the number of games the Switch can get, and will mean it won't miss out on certain games because it requires a touchscreen or won't run well in portable mode.
and we have two games that cant be played in handheld mode, 1 2 Switch & Just Dance.
They are just TV & tabletop mode.

I would think most games that intend on using touch screen can still do so in TV mode using the IR camera+motion as a pointer device. idk, guess we'll see.

Ah yes, the good old 'I want to be able to respond to your concern but because I cant i will just throw you a dumb question as hopes that it actually provides an answer of some sort... I hope'. But I am more than willing to let you try again. |
I think the bigger point is that you asked a stupid question. A fucking stupid question.
How is it no longer hybrid? The device doesn't stop being hybrid just because a small number of niche games force the usage of touchscreen and don't allow motion+ir to enable tv play.
Furthermore, how many games didn't use Wii's motion or WiiU's gamepad or offer local play on any console?

Considering the game in question is a rhythm game on mobile, I'd say "fair enough."
Praying Game Freak doesn't get any ideas...
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
I hope Nintendo isn't making the same mistake as Sony did with the PSTV. Nintendo giving developers a choice is one thing, but to really push the Switch they need to maximize the hybrid feature. I play with my PSTV more than my VITA because I'm less of a handheld fan, and there are certainly others like me. If all Switch games can be played both portable and on a TV, you've got both markets covered. Don't limit this, Nintendo.
Touchscreen is the reason for this but the wave of negativity towards Switch is predictable. Basically the same old people nitpicking and dooming Nintendo once again.

Yea, I mean just look at the topic showing all the Switch games announced so far. What it is, close to 100 now? So we have what 1% of the games, and one that I have never even heard of, that don't work in both handheld/tv mode.
