I think the bigger point is that you asked a stupid question. A fucking stupid question. 

How is it no longer hybrid? The device doesn't stop being hybrid just because a small number of niche games force the usage of touchscreen and don't allow motion+ir to enable tv play. 

 

Furthermore, how many games didn't use Wii's motion or WiiU's gamepad or offer local play on any console?
