God of war 3 and Metal Gear Solid V are probably the top for me. There are so many others that are just as good though, Uncharted 2, MGS2, The Last of Us and God of war 2.

SotN is a great choice! It was a 2D game alone in a sea of 3D but it somehow managed to stick out and become one of the best games of that generation.
Yes for bioshock infinite!
I was thinking about my answer before I read the OP, and I quickly had 2 games in mind: bioshock infinite and Uncharted 2.
The intro to Bioshock infinite blew me away, esp during the part with the gospel singing when Booker first arrives in Columbia. I had chills the entire time. So hard to describe, but it was just such an amazing scene and experience.
Uncharted 2's intro speaks for itself. It was the first time I felt like I was the character in a blockbuster movie. The whole game is amazing, but the intro stood in my mind far above that of all other games until Bioshock Infinite came along.
TLoU is probably third. Can't think of any other overly impressive intros ATM.
I loved the Opening of the original Dragon Age game, Battle for middle earth also had a cool first few missions on PC and I will always remember the first hours of The Last of us, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Halo.

I went in blind 6 days ago. Fallout 4. I watched the E3 conference before the game came out and I thought I knew what was going to happen (wrong). I can't believe I made it this long without spoilers.

God of war 3 because why not start a game with one of the most epic bossfight in gaming history.

God this is hard! I got a few of them.
- Pretty much any MGS game
- Resident Evil 4
- Metroid Prime 1 & 3
There's a fair few.
Final Fantasy 9 is great. Wind Waker is pretty good.
And Bioshock Infinite, yes!
For me, they just need to get into the main story within an hour or so. Can't be doing with any of that Twilight Princess stuff.
