You should be thanking him; he's actually looking out for you and simply wants you to eat imaginary sandwiches in 1-2 Switch instead of real cake! Embrace it!

Neogaf is now discussing another possible issue with the Joy Cons, experienced by Giantbomb. The Joy Cons apparently come off pretty easily from the tablet in handheld mode, and GB says that it gets easier and easier, apparently possibly to the point where the tablet could fall off while holding it.
"This might be broken by next week"
We'll see if this issue is potentially big or not.

Not sure what he is doing. But if you slot the joycon into the rail, there is a notch that locks it physically.
Only way it would fly away like that was if it didn't reach that notch or if it is broken.
You have to press and hold a release button whenever you want to detach the joycons.

Yeah, that's what someone said on Gaf. But he just "tap" the Joy Con and it comes off, while saying that it's getting worse and worse. Maybe it's just his console or he did something with it, but it seems the "lock" isn't effective enough or can be quickly damaged.

If it's broken then warranty should fix it

Yep... this is another reason not to be a early adopter.
If people notice a huge issue within the first 6 months, chances are there will be a revised version that ll fix or improve such.

If it's a design flaw then you'll have to use the warranty every time until a revision... You could become great friends with the customer service after a while though :D

Not if the joy-con "notch" is already worn down enough for it to not matter.
Either hes a doofus that didnt push it all the way down, or the "notch" is already worn down enough to not do its job.
You can see he 's able to push it off without holding down that "release" button.

Yikes. This is sounding less like the Switch and more like the Bait. It would seem like a good idea to wait on version 2.
