So I'm guessing it has to do with Anime'izing something? Well, then my Marvel point still stands then. Marvel made an anime series over in Japan. |
No guessing was involved. I cleary wrote it out, but .... uh.. what your point again? Im sure we are not on the same page

No it wasn't clear to me what you mean. You originally dissed Japan for either womanizing something that was a man, or anime'izing something that wasn't before.
I brought up examples that show it isn't japan only thing. The west has many times genderbended a character or movie. Also they have turned their media into anime as well.

This was never about gender. You just assumed it was, but instead of just saying, "oops! I was wrong", you just want to keep going down that road. As mentioned already, Bomberman has already had female counterparts for years now.

Apparently each team has a base and you need to destroy the opponent's base. At the end, she has a message warning her that her base is under attack (I think ^^). It really does look like a nerfed version, that's why I think it's more aimed at a younger and feminine audience. And clearly, the "destructible clothes" part is just anecdotical, it's nothing more than Fire Emblem Heroes, as an example. Nothing "Perv otakus" oriented. |
If the game is aimed at young Japanese girls, Konami must be showing them how easily destructible clothing should work, and that it is totally acceptable to wear them in public.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Funny how the actual game in no way matches what the concept art & description would leave you to believe. Whatever. #FuckKonami

This is a cancerous problem amongst Japanese games. Its every where. This is the main reason I hate Digimon Cyber Sleuth. |
I mean, the series is pretty dead everywhere. I think they're trying something radically different in hopes of getting any type of interest back in it.

Ok sure, but why limit the comeback to garbage like that? I wouldn't consider this radical either. Its happening all Japanese games.

Konami is not limiting Bomberman to just fan service. The new Bomberman R for Switch looks like an HD reimagining of the original. But if they are trying to breath life into the franchise, an Otaku Bombergirl game will probably work.
