That could be said about PS4 and XB1, too. Right? Hell, at launch, those two lost several last gen features as well. Some still aren't on the current gen models. Hasn't stopped my enjoyment in the slightest.

PS4 and Xbox One improve on the one important thing that has been at the center of video game evolution : they are more powerful.
People can bitch all they want, trying to make other people believe that there is a debate between gameplay and graphics. But they are wrong.
More power = better graphics AND more gameplay possibilities.
The increase of power in gaming brought us 3D, physics, real time effects, open world, destructible environments, multiplications of elements, all of those being breakthroughs in how games plays.
People should understand that by now, and people should realize that the Switch is just stuck in the past.
