Wrong. New technology should have more features than previous generations. It's bad enough that consoles barely evolve so we simply cannot and should not support consoles that are trying to go backwards.

A lot of features have been added to consoles only because of strong demands by customers. So telling people to stop demanding more features is counter productive.

Except that PS4 and Xbox One also cut features. In a perfect world, that wouldn't have been the case.

 

Example: Can't download content from the web on PS4. You could on PS3. It took months, if not years for some last gen features to be included in current gen consoles.
