what Ninty fans? There hasnt been a main FF game since SNES that was 1994. That was 23 years. ago. So anyone who really cares at this point has either moved on or been buying PSs to play those games this entire time. Hell 23 years. That means that means their have been more main FF games released on SOny systems than Nintendo, more than twice the amout. Doesnt matter where it started FF and Sony are symbiotic at this point, moreso than it was ever with Nintendo

Of course FF is more associated withi Sony NOW. All I'm saying is the same Nintendo fans that buy Bravely Default, Shin Megami Tensei, Monster Hunter, Xenoblade etc. would gladly buy a game like this. It'd sell better than it did on Xbox One, that I'm also sure of. Most Nintendo fans I know like JRPGS which is also why most Nintendo fans I know have a Nintendo console (handheld or/and  home) and a Playstation console (handheld and/or home). If it doesn't matter where the platform started, in this case FFVII for Sony, then by your same logic it wouldn't matter that it's on Xbox, which 500K+ units seems to matter just a bit.

Its on Xbox because MS asked for it, personally I dont think the paltry sales on Xone really matter in the long run. But SE dont care, its a little extra cash and since the Xone is close to PS4 the development must not have been that hard, something that the Switch cant say. I dont think it would sell enough to be worth it, as it would sell to people who have Switch ONLY

It's possible, it just wouldn't sell well.

Project Cars is just a racing game after all.

After they gave Wii U owners the shaft with the original Project CARS, I don't blame them for not even trying.  They'd have to do extra to win over Nintendo fans after that and unless the Switch becomes a DS-like success, I don't see them putting it on the console.  Even if they did, I don't think I'd ever buy it out of sheer spite.

Not even trying to get a late FF port, would rather have Dragon Quest XI which it is getting.

wouldnt that game even be a later port?

Same.  Final Fantasy has slowly turned into SE's big budget, casual, teenage female friendly JRPG franchise while Dragon Quest is the big traditional JRPG franchise that appeals to core JRPG fans.  I still see the advantages of having a mainline Final Fantasy on the Switch and would love it for Nintendo's benefit but on a personal level, I don't care for the series in its current state since I'm no longer a part of its target demographics.

How is DQ XI a late port?

Forget FF itself and just look at JRPG's or heck other SE games on Nintendo consoles, handheld and home.

There is still a market there.

??

I mean, the market certainly exists on Nintendo platforms, but even Vita had more JRPGs than the 3DS. It's not like it's this huge untapped area. Fans of those games are predominantly on other platforms.

Vita has a lot of JRPGs that barely sell.

The 3DS has a lot of Japanese RPGs that sell a lot or at least decently: Dragon Quest, Yokai Watch, Pokémon, Kingdom Hearts, Mario & Luigi, Fire Emblem, Monster Hunter, Bravely Default, Paper Mario, etc.

And I'm curious to see how well Ever Oasis will do, it looks like a decent game, but might be overshadowed by the Switch.
