i can honestly say i've never used a web browser on a console at all. why would you? i have a tablet and a laptop for that

Me too. Don't understand all that fuzz. We're in 2017, everybody with money enough to buy a Switch at launch have, at least, if not a PC, one smartphone. Why use a crappy browser in a console?

I mostly game on my PS4 these days, and I don't remember the last time I felt the need to use its web browser.

Doesnt bother me in the least.  90 percent of the time I'm browsing the web these days, its from my phone anyways.  I don't need another blue ray player or a 4th device to access internet.  Just give me something to play new games.

That said, the "U" streamed Pornhub like nobodys business!

Wow they killed Bhax before it was born haha. They are so dedicated to patch homebrew rn. Or stuff programmed by fans in general. Understandable but less features is not a selling point either.

While it would be easy in include I would be pretty confident in saying this will definitely not influence anyone's decision to buy or not?

I really don't care as I do not use web browsers on my PS4 or X1 either. It is so much easier to just grab my phone and look it up.

That's just for you though. People have raised real concerns about the lack of a browser in this topic.

Thing is people always raise "real" concern when it comes to new hardware.  Some is legit, some is almost irrelevant.

This topic rides the line of irrelevant, but people will still raise "real" concern due to the fact that hating on new hardware is the cool thing to do these days.  Same thing happened with X1 and PS4, so you can take it happening to Nintendo to the bank as far as I am concerned.

Unnecessary: you just need to duck-tape a smartphone or a tablet to it and you'll have browser, mail, audio and video connection, cameras and everything else you need. Who hasn't a smartphone or a tablet and some duck-tape?

You knw what. With half of NS features require a smart phone, clearly Nintendo should just bundle this thing with a phone

So it won't have a browser? That's a very basic omission, right there. I mean, I know people will want the Switch to game, but if you are going to CHARGE FOR AN ONLINE SUBSCRIPTION the least you could do is bringing the most basic program needed on a device connected to the internet.

"it will not support it, at least at launch."

Online subscirption starts in the fall...you know, not at launch.

What kind of image are they giving to their customers, though? Yeah, check out these online services you'll have to pay for in the future. Sure, there is no web browser, and the voicechat you'll have to do it through you phone, but yeah, you will pay for quality.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

When was the last time any of you used the browser on the 3DS or Wii U?
