ya im not sure why they didnt just go with 3DS size cases

Yes, both Vita and 3DS use pretty small cases. PSP ones were bigger, but it used discs. I guess they believe that small cases are associated to handhelds, with big cases being used for home consoles. As Switch is both, they ended up with a slightly bigger case.

Also the bigger cases look prettier than the smaller ones of the Vita and 3DS.

The boxart for Switch games are some of the prettiest I've ever seen.

I'm the opposite, for some reason I'd perfer full-size cases, probably because it'd fit on a shelf with games from other platforms, and bigger case = bigger more detailed art work!

But oh well.

Posted this when the tweet came out, but apparently people missed it?

Guess in the future I'll just make new individual threads instead of updating old ones.

i thought of the artwork as soon as I posted!

I see your point.

Switch!!!

I like that it's thinner while preserving the lenght of PSP cases. You can enjoy the whole art and fit it in your shelf like a regular Wii U game. But since it's thinner I can stuff more of these

The slimme & thinner the less space they take up, easier to transport ect.
Probably slightly (minimally) cheaper to produce too.
Its a good thing.

Plus their cute.

All good points except the "cute" thing. I'm a man. I don't like cute things lol.
