- Fallout
- Resident Evil
- Half-Life

well lets not get aggressive here. And I do think Metal gear has a fantastic storyline and gameplay

I don't consider those 5 to be anywhere near the best franchises.

A few I would put over them:
- Legend of Zelda

- Final Fantasy

- Baldur's Gate

- Super Smash Bros

- Starcraft

I'm surprised you're even trying to argue such a subjective thing with Leo. Ask 5 gamers what the best franchises are, and you'll probably get 25 different answers. Obviously what is the ''best franchise'' is your own opinion; arguing opinions with other opinions is hardly a credible argument. Personally, I would rank MGS as one of the top 2 or 3 franchises; if 4 fulfills its potential it will have earned a permanent spot at the top of my list.

I know you threw in the ''well, you're certainly entitled to your opinion'', but you dont' have to make it sound so damn condescending. Like seeing a homeless person eating garbage and saying ''well, you're certainly entitled to live your life how you wish".

 


Condescending? Exactly what in my post was condescending? I said he was entitled to his opinion and then listed a few franchises I prefer over MGS off the top of my head. Personally, I think the MGS franchise is really overrated.

I'm not the one who stated my opinion as fact nor did I try to back it up by saying that I have played a lot of video games as some sort of justification for the choice.

Personally, does anybody give a shit what the reviewers give it?

I sure as hell don't because I will be buying it and enjoying it instead of wasting my time reading write-ups from biased, payed off reviewers.

This game will be AAA to me, and that is all that matters. Sorry to say, but I don't care about anyone else.
