Lemme guess. It's going to be WiiU level stuff, just not free :S

I see a lot of people mention the quality and say Wii U level was bad. But what was actually bad about it? I never actually played online just solo/local co-op on mine.

Dont know abt wiiu. But on 3ds, aside from monster hunter, every single thing that uses online connection is just awful. Eshop, miiverse, mk7, pokemon, sm4sh and the worst thing of all , the interner browser. Everything!

Yep that is true. I can't remember when I last went online for my 3DS besides checking the eshop. The Switch is going to improve everything what the 3DS had.

Pocky Lover Boy!

I'm surprised, I mean, if they're doing paid online to begin with then they may aswell go for $50-$60 for the same reason, because they can. I'm not complaining though, atleast not about the price being lower than expected. Will forever complain about pay to play of course.

That's not too bad. I will be able to enjoy Splatoon 2 online for a longer peroid of time than I thought.

I wonder if online is that important to Nintendo gamers anyway. Even when free it was hard to find people online for some games so even if people don't subscribe to their service it may not have a dramatic effect on console and game sales because it just isn't as important to the userbase. I'm not saying it isn't very important to some but wonder if the majority don't actually need it.

It's 2000/3000 yen too much.

That is cheap... but if you're going to be getting users to pay a fee it's a strange choice to go for a fee which isn't exactly large enough to insure that the service will benefit greatly from it, I mean a lot of the later 3ds games issues when it comes to online play was that there wasn't people playing them anymore, when it comes to thrifty gamers who are not playing the newest titles that means they will suffer again because they're unlikely to pay for the online service and if they do they'll find very few people playing those older titles, even more again with the paywall in place.

Still though, even if it comes to EU at half the cost of psn+ there is still no comparison in value between things like the psn networks offerings of 5 ps4 titles this month being added to your IGC and the NES/SNES rom on loan for 30 days, they're just not on the same planet in terms of value... like LBP3 !!
