Offer them something compelling enough again and you might find half of them returning.

I don't see how making chewing noises into a microphone or pretending to milk a cow is in any way compelling.

Having seen you make like so many posts on this subject, I don't think you understand the appeal of this game, and never will.

To all others here have Austin Creed play some milking fun:

Is has the same appeal as those play-it-once goof off apps that you can get on your phone, difference is those are either free or 99 cents, while this is $50 and requires a $300 system.

This one is probably more polished and the joycon make a pretty big difference, Don't get me wrong I don like 1,2 switch but I see how some of the minigames can have appeal.

I can see how some of them could work as goof-offs at a party or something, but it just looks way too shallow to justify a $50 price tag, especially in the age of cheap/free disposable entertainment available through one's phone.

Yeah the price point is a sticking point for most people I have seen interested in the game.  I do think though that avoiding packing it in was actually wise.  While a number of people are interested in it for goofing off, I do think Nintendo want's to avoid the Switch becoming synonymous with 1, 2, Switch and defining the console's identity in that way.  They clearly really, really want everyone's first Switch experience to be Zelda.

Yeah, agreed, it would've been a big mistake to bundle 1-2 Switch with the system, that would've created too much of an impression that the system's focus was on gimmicky minigames.

Seems like Nintendo is on a roll as far as commercials is concerned. Good to see! Seems like they've learned a lot from the Wii U.

Does anyone know if this is produced by Nintendo Japan or NoA? I'm guessing NoA, and that probably goes for their reveal trailer back in October as well.

I suppose that they have hired an advertising agency to produce the ad.

Oh, for sure, but it would be interesting to see if it's NoJ or NoA that oversaw the production of it, I mean, they must have had some sort input on it, right?

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I suppose that it seems a global campaigb (Now trailers are very similar), so I suppose that all Nintendo branches participate, with NoJ leading.

Seems logical. Just a bit surprised that NoJ could make such good trailers since they seem out of touch in other areas.

Yes, that makes me doubt too, but I suppose that they may know that Western market has to be their main focus (at least for this "global" campaign), so they have considered it. Also, Kimishima has worked in Nintendo of America for a long time, so he may know the market.
