Forums - Nintendo - Will Wii U games be massively ported to Switch?

There are many good Wii U titles that didn`t reach full sales potential because of the small install base. Re-releasing for Switch seems like a natural path for most Wii U games. I would really like if Bayonetta 2 was ported.

Since Switch isn't backwards compatible, it only makes sense to cash in with some easy remaster/ports, yeah. Can't see every WiiU game on it, though.

Maybe, but then people clearly didn't want to play those games otherwise they would have sold more in the 1st place. Look at Mk8 it sold amazing because that's a game people wanted. I think nintendo probably realise now they need four things for success. Mario Kart, 3d Mario, mature zelda and Pokemon. Add splatoon and smash too, so call it 6.

I want a package with Bayonetta 1+2 & 3

I hope so

I expected way more than they showed. I got really surprised the only port is mario kart 8.
Every game that is multiplataform on nintendo systems, like smash, hyrule warriors, yoshi wooly world, mario maker, i thought they would be on switch, and that they would show in january presentation.
Because, well, the games are already not wii U exclusives, no problem they be on switch too.
Also, I expected games with long development time that sold poorly on wii U to appear on switch as well. xenoblade, bayonetta, (and maybe DKCTF?) ...

Let's hope not. Or if they do, that would happen later in the console's life. If people would like the games on Wii U, they had bought one.

Ei Kiinasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

I don`t think so. There are games that are system sellers, but there are games that sell well because they are on a platform with a big install base. There are many games that are kinda " well, this games is in my system, it`s heavily discounted so let me grab a copy". Like Carnival Games on Wii.

I can see some games being ported to the Switch. I'm quite sure some would be bitter or just won't lke it, whether they bought the system or otherwise, but it would rejuvenate both sales for the system and help close more first party droughts.

Where would I play Fatal Frame otherwise ??
