Whats crap about battlefield one like?

Shooting people or playing soccer is something that has broad intrinsic appeal. Guiding a fuzzy monster through a series of puzzles with a vague story does not.

There are certain experiences that are going to appeal to the masses and some that will appeal to the niche. Same reason why virtuoso musicians generally aren't lighting up the charts, why film festival favorites don't perform as well as comic book movies, and so on.

Battlefield 1 is a good game! Have you even played it? Other than that I agree. COD has been pure cancer since Ghosts, and FIFA just gets milked every year with same game over and over again. I hate both these franchises.

At least Forza Horizon 3 is selling better than the past few Forza games. It's my GOTY 2016. Ratchet&Clank OG was my first game ever, so the remaster was quite a special game for me.

Racing and 3d-platformer are my favourite genres, and they don't get enough love.

Yes, we live in a world where great games sell less than shit ones. As do films, music and basically any sort of art/craft as a whole. Its been like that since forever and lets just learn to enjoy the good with the bad and move on.

Isn't Fifa critically rated higher than The Last Guardian?

This might shock you, but maybe the people that are buying those games don't think they are shit just because you do?

I'm gonna say this: It's not that they don't know any better. It's because Fifa was here first. And regardless, if another game is better. Who cares. They got their fix. They don't really care to look for anything else. Intill Fifa dies. Just like iPhone. It did everything right first. Don't care about anone else. They work, don't give a shit what other comapnies put in.

Mediocrity always has and always will trump creativity and originality if it does not conform to a basic set of rules the average person can understand.

In other words. Too many notes.

Games created to appeal to the widest audience will always sell more then games created to be perfect for a groups specific taste.

FIFA 17 is also rated higher than Xenoblade Chronicles X.
