Sadly or lucky, the whole is moving in that direction.

The most likely next French president Fillon is very clear - ban Muslims, Russia is a strategic partner, the playtime USA had in Europe is over.

Exactly. Chile is doing amazing. And they are standing on their own two feet and achieving it.

They formed a free trade agreement with Australia back in 2009... As well as other countries and they have seen some great growth.
They wen't from $240 billion GDP + $13,331 GDP per capita to $297 billion GDP + $16,573 GDP per capita in just 7 years, that's a 24% growth over that period, at a time when other countries in the region stagnated or declined.

The World Bank already classifies Chile as a high-income economy. It's pretty much close to being a developed country nowadays. They also solved the social insurance problem and have a great budget control.

I just hope that Brazil jumps out of Mercosul. We should use the whole Venezuela situation as an excuse and get out. We can even sign deals with Argentina and Uruguay since they're important partners, but at least bilateral deals can be done in terms that are good for the 2 parts, instead of dealing with the problems of a multi-country deal.

lol, we have 12 million illegal immigrants. Yeah, I'd say that's a bit of an "issue"

Most of which enter the country legally, and then stay when their visa expires. The wall will really help you there huh

A lot of them are border hoppers. We're going to deport 12 million, and if we do and they try to come back we'll have a wall to stop them.

Oh, and there's no way Mexico will pay for a wall. If Trump doesn't realize economy won't be any good with lack of international cooperation I hope someone sane at the republican party "guides" his hand

Yeah they will, Trump will tax them to hell or simply take remittances that Mexican Americans send back to family in Mexico. And as Mexico is a third world country, if they try to retalliate we can absolutely obliterate their economy anbd cause the kind of damage that will be 10 times worse than whatever damage they can deal to us in a trade war.

I just thought you were gonna be blind to the fact. Building a wall is part of the solution to fixing the illegal immigration problem we have here.

The fact that we are models that others follow and that we are - by far - the number 1 country people migrate to and want to migrate to is flattering. I believe people will want to continue following our model for stronger borders in the next 20-30 years, if they still can at that time.

You will never have borders as strong as Australia. Being surrounded by sea is a massive natural advantage.

We actually put those who attempt illegal migration into concentration camps located on a remote island, give them the bare minimum they need to survive, which results in poor living conditions and in some cases death. Even if they are Children or Pregnant women.
Because you know. Freedom.

OK, I'm confused by your tone here. You're saying thats a good thing or bad thing? If they're illegals then it sounds like a pretty good solution to me.

I'm American so my only concern is american interests. If I was German than I'd want Germany to do it's best to hog the pie and if I was Chinese I'ds want China to continue abusing the US. But I'm not, I'm American and so my interests are American interests. It's the same thing as in sports. You root for your team. I want my team to win.

And you see nothing wrong with this? I mean, if every human would follow your reasoning it would only lead to conflicts. All nations would be at war, because they want the most of the pie.

Human history is indeed a conflict infested mess and it still is. That's reality. Life is conflict. I'd like us to come out of that conflict the relative winners.

Indeed, humans should think into the human favor, not in their country favor.
Humans helping humans is better than humans divided.

And if we are to someday meet another intelligent species, cooperation should be more valuable than fighting, though humans would likely only wish cooperation if they are in disadvantage, otherwise, like when they came from Europe to America, dominance by power superiority would be the route, sadly.

No, humans are different depending on culture. There are cultures out there that are dispicable and I have no desire to work with them. Humans should be in their cultural compatriots favor, which is generally expressed within national boundaries.

That's nice, but "we" as a society have something called "the law".

Which should reflect empathic ideals.
