Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Switch is now 299€ on Amazon France!

The Wii U launched at €350, so the Switch is €50 cheaper, but it doesn't have a pack-in game like the Wii U had. Although Nintendoland wasn't a particularly great game, so for me it wasn't a good deal.

I was kind of expecting that, but everybody here told me €330 was the fixed price.

You sound surprised!

not surprised, more relieved actually, now that France dropped the price hopefully other European countries will do the same (most importantly Italy :p), those 30€ could really affect negatively the sales of the Switch and I'd love to save myself 30€ to buy some nice e-shop game...

Still more expensive than the UK, and i thought my country was being shafted. Good for anyone who values it i suppose.

Nintendo UK themselves are selling pre-orders for 279.99 GBP, that's the cheapest I have seen and that converts to 329 EUR. Amazon France is selling it for 29 EUR less.

So no. Not more expensive at all.

Haven't kept up to date with currency conversions, whoops.

It sounds like the price in Canada is going to be $399.  I'm less excited about that. :(

That is 15€ lower than 299€  and just 5USD more than the US, it's not even that bad...

I think you've miscalculated here that's cheaper than UK.

The page says 349.99.
Which is apparently $373.

Even with tax already included, that still seems high.

It includes Zelda, so it's pretty close to American prices

Apparently it was FNAC that lowered the price and Amazon.fr pricematched

FNAC lowering prices? That's unheard of!

(at least when it comes to the spanish branch)

They are french afterall. Pamper your original customer while you suck dry the spaniards

The Zelda bundle is 350eur. Either way you are comparing launch prices, the WiiU premium was also ~300eur on amazon's launch.

Yeah someone pointed it out. I missed the fact it was the zelda bundle. I thought it was the regular bundle.

Oh I see, the perks of 10 posts per page :p

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Surely price drops before launch is an indicator that it isn't a must have item and there isn't hordes of people waiting to buy one. Although saying that I can't remember if hugely successful formats like wii and ps2 held their price up to launch. Just seems a strange thing to do if you can't get enough stock to start discounting.

I've a feeling there will be a glut of Switches on the secondhand market after people have played through Zelda. Some will wait for Mario but others might just get maximum value at that point and buy again later hoping for a lower price.
