Pretty much this. Its the only thing you can expect from a Nintendo machine. At least for the first 3 years anyway. After that it usually tapers off while they focus on the next machine.

Who knows exactly what he means but it sounds like Nintendo is talking to western third-parties, which is certainly an improvement, but they're not going out and proactively doing things to pull them in. Probably a different story with Activision, Ubisoft, and EA, though.

Also, he talked about wanting Nintendo console games on a handheld. That's the opposite for me, as I'm more interested in playing Japanese third-party handheld games on my TV. That Nintendo can interest gamers who want different things is one reason why unifying the library was such a good idea.

It's also something you couldn't get on previous Nintendo systems since the SNES, being ALL Nintendo games, well that's the hope anyway.

N64, Gamecube and Wii U also offered something Xbox and PS didn't, that's not really what it's about at all. Being different isn't enough in and on itself, it takes more to achieve success.
