Forums - Gaming - Digital Foundry has a new product.

I always thought DF was like seeing how the hot dogs were made. I also thought that it pretty much ruined Wii U as soon as it came out. But really Nintendo ruined Wii U by refusing to get with the times, and I think they'll do it again in a couple months with the release of Swiitch.

DF is still like seeing how the hot dogs are made though.

I'm on the fence with this one. There is a clear desire lately from DF to make their channel bigger, and clearly they have some seriously speculative videos as well (same with the NS). But never the less they still manage to keep a fairly unbiased opinion and give praises where it is needed and dumb down the information enough so the vast majority of us can get a fairly objective opinion when it comes down to sheer power of the systems.

Even if there is some trial to make it more mainstream, I still find them to be the most accurate and objective from the bunch. In all honesty even if hardware wise this should be natural there are plenty of channels that prove the contrary.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Digital Foundry is the best journalist's site here. They are fair, honest and tell it like it is.  It forces publishers and developers to care abour res/framerate etc.

They are probably doing pre-damage control before the announcement that Scorpio will have CPU Jaguars. So in fact they are trying to do good for the Xbox brand.

And they have being bashing the Pro since it's release at each opportunity they had anyways. Only covering games / modes with problems (or just before the patches that fixed them oddly) and avoiding games that run beautifully on the new hardware (like Infinite warfare, Titanfall 2 or Fifa17).

To be fair, if developers would start releasing games without a plethora of issues on launch, it wouldn't be a problem would it? Don't blame Digital Foundry for that, blame the Developers who are ultimately to blame.
Often Digital Foundry will also state if problems have been fixed at a later date and sometimes they will even go back to a game and re-test it after a Patch. Like they did with Battlefield 1.

Testing these games takes a ton of time and effort, they only have a fixed window to do it before moving onto the next game... And sometimes that will happen before a major patch drops.
And you know what? It is great they let us know of issues, if that is somehow misconstrued as them "attacking" a platform, with repeatable, verifiable issues, then I wan't them to "attack" the platform and let us know of the issues so we as consumers can make better informed decisions with our money.

I have never met a YouTube channel fanboy before. You undying loyalty to Digital Foundry is impressive. We can argue some more tomorrow, its bedtime for Sonytendo. Good night.

Are you shitting me? I have no "loyalty" to Digital Foundry. You're point, if you can even call it that, is nonsense and you have failed to provide any sort of backing for your ramblings.

Strange that a site dedicated to finding the smallest resolution differences now say that resolution doesn't matter. Ramblings indeed.

You wish... DF haven't signed any document and isn't obligated to say who provided the info, so there is no case here... just you being angry about two systems being weaker than what you hoped for.

And to break a new for you, news outlet are supposed to be hitting hard whoever they report on, the ones supposed to pamper is marketing department.

Yes, Digital Foundry didn't sign a NDA with anyone but they are helping someone else break a legally binding contract. Guilty by association.

try enforcing that in a courthouse... pretty sure freedom of press would trump it all over

And you know... if the leak they are giving isn't real and is damaging the release of Scorpio MS can always come out and say they are wrong.

What does that have to do with your point? Also, that article is nearly 2 years old.

Get. To. The. Point.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

So I can't use old information, but Digital Foundry can. Hmm. And not only did DF use old information with the Switch spec leak, they also used old information with the recent Scorpio spec leak. And with both leaks, proceeded to pile assumptions on top of old info. Its OK for them to do these things? I say it is misinformation.
