Forums - Gaming - Is it really that strange to alphabetize your games?

Yes, it is strange.

I sort my games in two categories, good and bad. This means one group is Nintendo games and the other one third party games.

Since you have such a clear deliniation between what's good and bad .I would have expected you to have sold the nintendo ones you own and just kept buying all those good third party games. since this hasn't happened , maybe  Vgchartz needs to have an intervention to save Rol from further self harm.

Who am I kidding just being on VGchartz means we are all Masochists.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

Makes sense if you have a lot of them.
But what happens when a sequel starts with a different letter as the previous installment? Do you make an exception, or alphabetise by the name of the franchise?

No.

I don't see anything wrong with it.

Really, it should be phrased "obsessive order."

Lol, you're right Xp

That's how I do it...that's how i thought everyone did it..I'm second guessing my entire life.

I have over 50 PS4 games so keeping them in alphabetical order is ideal. But for some ppl who may only have 5-10, it's probably not tha important.

Nah, my collection is rather simple!

Britney would be proud, or is she already?

My games are sorted by platforms and then alphabetized. XB -> 360 -> X1 -> PS1 -> PS2 -> PS3 -> PS4 -> Gamecube -> Wii -> Wii U - DS -> 3DS -> PSP -> Vita

I group them by system, played / backlog, then by genre with series together.
With movies I tend to group them by genre and director which is annoying when directors go cross genre! I never go as far as alphabetizing. Favorites get the premium spots while lesser ones getting the bottom shelves. I ran out of room and now they're also piling up on top.

WiiU games are in the living room, got another box full of redundant DVDs (replaced with blu-ray) Most my XBox and 360 games have either gone to friends or traded in since the machines broke. I did recently get a new 360 for $15, no XBox anymore though. All my PC games are in moving boxes. It's easier to buy them again on GoG than trying to get them to run from the original CDs. I still like to keep the boxes and manuals, nostalgia I guess.

Btw on the top right is a dismantled ylod ps3. Sticking out on the top left a 2kb memory card from the late seventies.

Nice showing there.  Of course you'll need some semblance of organization with so many titles.  Not counting my DVDs and Doctor Who VHSs, I probably have a good 80% of what's shown.  And I'm assuming those are custom built shelves?
