Forums - Gaming - Is it really that strange to alphabetize your games?

I would only find it weird if it were arranged alphabetically with no regard to platform. Platform > Alphabetized (and alphabetize the platforms too) is normal to me.

Edit: Also, my comic book collection is all bagged and boarded and alphabetized (by publisher) so your friend Dan should be burned at the stake for such atrocities.

Pretty normal to do this, I think =p makes me think about game titles and some similarities between them too. Like how the God of War and the Gears of War games are both abbreviated to GOW lol.

Dude back in college, there was a 6' x 6' board game called Battle Masters which was a joint effort by Milton Bradley and Games Workshop.  It was an attempt to bring Warhammer fantasy to the younger masses in a simpler form.  I had it, it was novel at the time, kept it in perfect condition, and later sold it to Dan at a bargain price.  Just less than one week later (LESS THAN ONE WEEK,) I found the game and its pieces sprawed all over his bed room floor.  Man, don't you give a $#!t about keeping up with anything?

I would do that too, but I can't do that on PS3. 😐 urks the living crap out of me. Why in the hell is there no sort by alphabet on there?

Almost all of my games that are on display on shelves are in alphabetical order within platform.  I've had a handful of people I wouldn't say have criticized but have found it surprising that my games are alphabetized.  Why???  I honestly cannot phantom what's the issue.  It's not like it's a single 1 foot wide shelf that doesn't need a lot or organizing to find something.  On a related note, a friend of mine couldn't understand how someone could keep their comics is new condition.  Well Dan (<--- my friend) if you weren't such a slob, maybe your comics wouldn't be in a single pile sitting bare from the carpet up with the corners hanging over each other, and your comics MIGHT be in the same condition, too.  Anyway, do you alphabetize your games?  If not, why wouldn't you?

I do the same thing.

PSV games A-Z
PS4 games A-Z
Blu-Ray A-Z
DVD A-Z

Books I do A-Z by author rather than title though.

I once did the same, too, back in my last house.  I think I was actually praises for this move.

Yeah mine are just chucked in a cupboard, not stacked, not the same way facing, some games might not even be in the correct cases.

No, it's not strange. Strange is people doing it wrong all the time.

It's Legend of Zelda, the and Elder Scrolls, the

No, the game starts with a T. Its called The Legend Of Zelda.

Umm, no, really. That's where almost everyone does it wrong. Alphabetizing was ppart of my job years ago.

I dont because I have shelves already completely full that if I add one then I have to shift everything. Gets old. I just keep them by console.

If it's strange, I must be strange. I have enough games for it to make sense to keep them organized, and organizing them alphabetically is by far the easiest and most logical way to organize them.
